terrific light scent

My Cousin from Germany brought me this as a gift when she came to visit us in USA. At first I didn't think the perfume lasted very long and was disappointed because I love the scent. I have people stopping me many times remarking how beautiful my perfume is and this is hours after I initially sprayed . I wish I could find it here in the States online.

More Vetiver and NO Chocolate

There are fragrances where I wonder how the manufacturers come up with a certain name, especially when they want to highlight the main ingredient of the scent, which simply isn’t present.
Like here with Vetiver & Chocolat, where one might look forward to a chocolate scent, but then finds none throughout the fragrance's development. At least the vetiver is present…

The scent:
The beginning smells entirely of fresh vetiver. Whether there are lily of the valley notes, I cannot say; I can’t smell anything like that. A few minutes later, I detect a hint of hazelnut, which briefly overshadows the vetiver, but then retreats immediately.
In the heart note, the vetiver continues to be prominent. Additionally, the scent slightly reminds me of Bois Farine, as it has a faint bread-like aroma, which is quite pleasant. But: There is no trace of chocolate, not even a hint of it!
The base is slightly woody, and with a bit of concentration, one can perceive the faint tobacco. Otherwise, the vetiver is still noticeable in the base.

Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is below average, with a duration of five, maybe six hours.
The sillage is somewhat weak and projects only a little. It certainly won’t leave a scent trail, as it quickly becomes somewhat close to the skin, in my opinion.

The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical with a thick glass bottom. The similarly cylindrical cap and its white color remind me of the bottles from Roads. The name and brand are printed directly on the front of the bottle. All in all, nothing special, but still quite nicely done.

This fragrance has turned out to be an above-average vetiver scent. It is slightly spicy, but above all, green and earthy, and comes off a bit fresh, so I would recommend it for spring, summer, and even autumn. However, it lacks a certain depth, that special something where I can say: “Wow.” Therefore, the fragrance is, as mentioned, simply (above) average for me.

You can test it, but you don’t really need to. Especially not if you hope to smell a chocolate scent.

One should perceive it more as a men's fragrance: modern vetiver, gently cushioned by soft notes. Unobtrusive. Good in this league!

Very herbal, more vetiver than anything else. The chocolate comes through only slightly bitter, also a bit herbaceous. Very high quality for the price.
