Yellow light
This citrussy scent doesn't exactly make waves, but at least it makes an uplifting splash. It emphasises the Eau-fraiche aspect, skipping the sensual part and concentrating on an ultra-citrussy note I'd call a kind of "yellow light". Not much of an asset in cold weather, but great for spraying something on without worrying about over-applying. A minimalist little number, nothing pretty or formal, just a light refreshment for broad daylight. Very affordable (around 10 Euros). The perfume bottle is utterly plain, much worse than the acceptable fragrance it houses.

Great Summer Freshness for Little Money
My strong preference for carefree citrus fresheners in summer is quite pronounced, and especially when it's warm, one craves cheerful, fresh scents that don't overwhelm and aren't tiring. High temperatures and high humidity do that all by themselves.
So this beautiful and uncomplicated fragrance from Braukmann comes at just the right time.
At Hilde, you can always expect very decent and pleasing scents to hit the market at very affordable prices.

The Lemon Garden lives up to its name. Citrusy and fresh is the start, pleasantly tangy without the often-criticized associations of cleaning products or toilet fresheners that come with citrus scents.
Lightly floral, without becoming too flowery. The flowers are clearly of the white variety, but at no point do they become heavy or stuffy.
Woody notes only appear after a while, actually only in the base for my nose, and give the fragrance a slightly bitter twist at the end. Well done.
Actually, the essentials have been said now. But I made another discovery.
I found that Lemon Garden is quite a good scent twin of Chanel's Cristalle Eau Verte.

I sprayed both fragrances in parallel multiple times and could hardly detect any differences. Cristalle Eau Verte was the first to arrive, so Hilde took a very nice model and made something of its own from it. To say it was copied would be too harsh.
The finely tangy citrus notes, the white flowers, the progression to the base note, really almost identical. But from the base, the two fragrances clearly diverge.
Cristalle Eau Verte fades out with a floral softness, one might think there's a hint of clean musk involved. Lemon Garden develops this woody note in the base, which even comes across as slightly rough and brittle. But that is also the biggest difference.

As for longevity, both fragrances are on par. As light fresh citrus scents, they easily last 6 hours and project with roughly equal strength, becoming quite quiet within about 45 minutes and then perceived close to the skin.

I can confirm their suitability as lovely unobtrusive everyday companions for both fragrances.
Lemon Garden has been marketed as a scent for both men and women. I can equally attest to this for Cristalle Eau Verte. Nothing comes across as too feminine or overly floral.
The bottle of Lemon Garden is simply designed and limited to the essentials, but it sprays very well.
Chanel, of course, has the more luxurious bottles, but they also cost several times more.

In direct comparison, Cristalle Eau Verte has a slight edge for me, as I prefer the final phase a bit more than that of Lemon Garden. Nevertheless, I can give an unrestricted recommendation for Lemon Garden, especially since the price is unbeatable and it is an all-around well-made fragrance. And anyone looking for an affordable and likable alternative to Eau Verte can purchase this without hesitation.
Another twin mentioned is Eau d'Hadrien by Goutal. I don't know that one yet. But the direction seems to be the same.
I went by my nose here, and the nose was pleasantly surprised.

Well done, Hilde!

The name is the only clumsy part
“Mediterra” sounds strangely clumsy to me. Like one of those - for today’s ears - stilted product names from decades ago. What lies behind it, however, is quite convincing.

The esteemed Mr. Fittleworth had already pointed out a similarity to Goutal’s exquisite ‘Eau d’Hadrien’. (By the way, his Braukmann bottle found its way to me through a trade - thank you very much!). My first impression indeed called for a parallel test.

In style, the similarities are unmistakable. Nevertheless, I would like to highlight three at least noteworthy differences:

1. The present candidate is a bit more restrained in its citrus fruitiness. While there is also a hint of bergamot-lemon “cheesy footiness” detectable, overall, a completely plausible contribution from orange is soothing. After a few minutes, I even think of a splash of neroli. The Goutal is, so to speak, more capricious in its citrus character, with the cheeky bergamot playing a larger role.

2. Ms. Braukmann places a bit more emphasis on flowers. Her Lemon Garden is charmingly floral, although this is a rather background affair compared to the citrus overload. However, as the afternoon progresses, the floral aspect fades away.

3. The cypress note is milder than in the Goutal, which becomes more pronounced towards the end in a tree-like direction. This is an important point because if the Goutal has a weakness, it is a woody mustiness towards the end. ‘Mediterra Lemon Garden’ simply fades away after about six or seven hours - which I find to be the better idea in this case.

Presumably, the freshness, especially in the afternoon, is due to a certain amount of chemistry. In any case, Braukmann apparently does not stand for natural cosmetics at all. In the online shop, there is only a vaguely euphemistic (and misleading) mention of “nature-related formulations.” Well… As for how the scents are - no idea. But it doesn’t strike me as a natural scent.

How could it? 30 ml of ‘Mediterra Lemon Garden’ is already available for EUR 9.95. The bottle is a simple cylinder, smaller than a deodorant roller (if it should be significant that the container measures about 8 x 4 cm, that would be a fine, humorous jab; but I don’t believe that). It fits in any bag, and the apparently sturdy glass should withstand quite a bit. So, early reapplication is not an issue.

Conclusion: Here, only the name is clumsy. The scent is a great value-for-money tip, deserving an extra star for good usability.

Surprisingly Good
Good doesn't have to be expensive.

A phrase, certainly - yet it proves true from time to time in surprising ways.
"Mediterra Lemon Garden" delivers what its somewhat unwieldy name promises.

A pleasantly light, natural lemon opens this fragrance, bitter and understated, flanked by a juicy, sunny, and slightly bitter orange.
Unremarkable, extremely natural, and unexpectedly long-lasting freshness.

A summer breeze, a gust that seems to waft up from the small, sun-drenched coves of the Cinque Terre.
A summer breeze that later, as the day wanes, plays softly in the branches of the trees.
One that spices the rising coolness of the evening with the dark green of the cypress trees, where the citrus notes slowly, very slowly, and gently fade away.

It is a clear, bright fragrance that conjures images of Sicilian lemon groves and Tuscan expanses in me.
A scent that is almost identical to the one I greatly appreciate, "Eau d'Hadrien".
However, it is more affordable and longer-lasting...
Surprisingly good!

More Being than Appearance
How apt and vivid Fittleworth described this fragrance! Hooked by that, I ordered a bottle and was not disappointed: The scent lasts a long time, very herbal, no sweetness, just freshness, and in hot temperatures like today, it is not too much. And yet I find it expressive enough to serve not just for personal refreshment like some other citrus lightweights. A fine companion, more being than appearance.

A typical summer refreshment with lots of citrus and a green finish. All in all, a classic Cologne with all its pros and cons. Nice.

Citrusy-green summer refresher, with a hint of floral. Subtle, zesty, pleasant. Very high-quality, without cloying sweetness, highly recommend.

Similar to Eau d’Hadrien. The brand really has beautiful scents for very little money; better than much else in the budget range.

Great citrus chypre scent with an amazing price-performance ratio. White flowers and hesperidic notes complement each other wonderfully.

My favorite among the brew men. But I do love citrus with a light chypre vibe, so that’s no surprise. A must-buy for summer.

A beautiful contrast to the current constant rain: citrusy-bitter, lightly floral freshness. Like a lemon candy with fizzy filling.

For me, it's an overrated lemon-freshy that's unfortunately too artificial and bitter. Oh well, it's still a sillage darling :)

Natural, zesty lemon with subtle hints of grapefruit on a green backdrop.
A summer refreshment that begs to be reapplied.
