Braukmann it, or not?
Forgive the little wordplay that I couldn't resist - but it somehow itched at my fingers. However, this fragrance can be taken quite seriously. The relatively unassuming Braukmann Classic is a pleasant representative of the category "serious men's fragrance for little money"!
Although the website only mentions Mediterranean citrus oils as an ingredient, they actually come across as warm, vibrant, and somewhat woody, making Braukmann Classic suitable for any season and occasion. Upon closer inspection, the Mediterranean citrus oils reveal a much more complex mix of clove, ylang-ylang, and cedar, along with some woody components from pine and vetiver, underpinned by a fine amber nuance.
This feels masculine and down-to-earth, perhaps a bit quaint, but by no means cheap or intrusive.
After all, Mrs. Braukmann advertises perfect care based on herbs.
I almost saw a parallel to Platinum Égoiste, but that one becomes spicier and more finicky in the later stages. But I'll touch on that again in another comment specifically about P.E.!
At least I can attest that Braukmann Classic offers an extraordinarily good price-performance ratio, as in addition to the pleasant scent with substantial but not exaggerated projection, you also get exemplary longevity.
To address the initial question again: No, you don't necessarily need Braukmann Classic by Hildegard Braukmann, as there are far more interesting fragrances out there. But I consider this offer to be absolutely fair - and thus, everyone who needs or wants to save should take advantage of it.
