soft vanilla with resinous spice
The "give-aways" to the orders of skin care products at Dr. Pierre Ricaud are always very impressive: often they are valuable care products in original size, often also fragrances from the now quite extensive collection of ID Parfums/Isabel Derroisné .
Last late autumn, it was a flacon of the new fragrance "Cap d'Ambre"; but until now forgotten in a "cosmetics supply collection box" stood.
Why actually?
Certainly not because I do not like this brand.
All fragrances known to me are very well composed in terms of craftsmanship and have their own charm.
They are not "chart toppers", but by their special personality yet extremely portable.
Especially on those days when nothing loud, pompous or demanding should come near.
We all know those occasions; especially when we test our way through our scent sample warehouses and suddenly realize that our senses need a time out to reactivate.
But then, who among us wants to be "naked and bare" during that period of time?
Many of ID Parfums/Isabel Derroisné's fragrance creations are a pleasant break from fragrance stress for me during these moments, without sacrificing scent.
Among these is "Cap d'Ambre" - a great name for a vanilla-soft scent cloak that doesn't weigh you down or weigh you down; made up of coarsely knitted scent stitches.
Bergamot and pink pepper (without which it apparently does not go at all at the moment), beat loosely this first fragrance mesh.
Very light, delicate yet expressive vanilla with a magic all its own, takes up this fragrance thread. Incidentally, it remains very long faithfully on the skin, without becoming annoying or even musty.
The fine yellowish-white fragrance hue gets a slightly earthy depth through Patchoulis golden brown.
Already this fragrance fabric radiates warmth and harmony.
Noble resins, here myrrh and light, not too heavy frankincense add a spicy-smoky fragrance note, which neither scratches nor becomes too dominant.
On the contrary, a warm vanilla note with pleasant smoky spice develops as the finale of this artisan well-tuned composition; which quietly hums and vibrates!
These are not passionate vanilla erotic vibes that tease the senses with golden brown resins, but an all-day wearable fragrance artistry.
"Cap d'Ambre" profanely to call an "everyday fragrance" would be uncharitable and also wrong.
A charming and quiet elegance accompanies unexcited through the day, but leaves a feeling of being protected.
A light fragrance cape that protects against external disturbing fires and gives the fragrance oversaturated senses protective time to regenerate.
Today was certainly not the last day I will resort to "Cap d'Ambres" fine accompaniment.
I like namely these quiet sounds, the gray days with golden, finely shining light so cozy through.
