As expected, just more beautiful
A rose fragrance from a soliflore line - what I primarily expect - who would have thought - is rose. In this respect, "Rose Secréte" cannot disappoint, because: who would buy a pure rose fragrance if they don't particularly like rose scents? Hardly anyone.
It's not so easy for me to describe how I perceive the scent… because of course the rose is predominantly present, with rose in the base as well, and there’s no other impression than rose in between. The opening is strong, still slightly synthetic - and by synthetic, I don't mean artificial! - and the rose here is rather dark, oily, and in my imagination, red. It could also be one of the strong, full-bloomed garden roses, but definitely not a fresh peony. The slightly green nuance only comes in the second phase - after about 2 hours. Then the rose becomes light, buoyant, and bud-like green. Overall, "Rose Secréte" is never sweet and certainly not delicate and girlish. A beautiful and strong-delicate (is that a thing?) rose that accompanies me - initially with quite a strong sillage, then increasingly close to the skin after 3 hours - for about 8 hours.
A stunning rose fragrance that, within its soliflore possibilities, does undergo a certain development.
