A huge metallic wave

A fresh, synthetic hodge-podge of oranges and herbaceous notes riding a huge metallic wave from beginning to end. It's more metallic than Drakkar Noir or even Cool Water or Platinum Egoiste... we're at Lomani Pour Homme levels of dihydromyrcenol here. There's too much of it for me to even smell the flowers and tobacco and leather and moss and woods that supposedly are in this. Sergio Soldano Black is close to this, but more citric and less metallic, and I prefer it.

Projection is okay at best, and longevity on this vintage made in France formulation is 5 hours max.

Masculinity Level: Hound from The Transformers, green and metallic.

Not as strong as I would've liked

This is marketed as a green Foresty fragrance even though Oakmoss is not listed as one of the notes. It is though as green as it could be and herbaceous as well but to me the performance, even though it's a vintage formulation, is not as good as I would've liked and the Sillage isn't either. That being said there are some positives concerning Jaguar for men EDT. For one thing the scent itself is gorgeous and not at all overbearing and the bottle is one step below magnificent. Maybe there is Oakmoss inside even though it doesn't say so but that isn't everything. This fragrance from 1988 does it's job in a small and subtle way and you can just about douse yourself in this Foresty goodness and within a couple of hours it just about turns into a skin scent. I thought of maybe unloading this onto someone else but I think I'll give it at least a couple more wears B4 I make my final decision on whether or not I want to keep it for myself. I've been wrong B4 in jumping to conclusions because of a lack of patience with other fragrances. I'm truly hoping I'm wrong again with this one because if not then it's truly a shame. I like this overall but I really want to LOVE it instead.

Never again

I tried it again today, after almost two decades of not going near this perfume.
I don't like it. It reminds me of those cheap "perfumes" sold in supermarkets, which smell like insecticide or toilet bowl cleaner...
It's impossible to like this perfume or compare it to any other fragrance... no, and it's nothing like perfumes like Polo (Green) RL, Tsar VC&A, Paco Rabanne pour Homme, etc.
Even comparing it to Lacoste (original) is unrealistic.

Men's perfume in perfection - a union of exoticism and forest lust

The JAGUAR (for men) jumps into the full deep green and as if in slow motion he touches exotic citrus, flowery gardenia and carnation, the spice bush of basil, lavender, thyme and almost on the ground fern, fir and cedar and rests at the end of the hot day on a blanket of tobacco, musk, leather and patchouli.
A union of exoticism and forest lust.
Sprayed before going to bed, you wake up in the morning like Aladdin in a moss bed.
I don't know of any men's fragrance that is as complex and intoxicating as JAGUAR for Men.
It takes patience and love for the beauty of the highest perfume composition, if you go on this fragrance journey.
With this splendid example of an emerald deep green men's fragrance, extremist Thierry Wasser has left his perfection in green.
I have also tested the original 1988, but gee, it is really something for grandpa... (maybe too much oakmoss)!
This new green JAGUAR is one of the few successful reformulations of an 80's cracker.
Today we men are allowed to experience the lovely and purring side of the green JAGUAR and this requires intense devotion (as is the case with Felidae).
The flacon is also like a cut emerald in its reductive production. Held against the light once, most beautiful green ever!
With this JAGUAR, which I'd dug out of a box of old perfume remnants, everything started again at the beginning of 2018 (my love for perfumes and my debut at parfumo.de). I wanted to sell it again and gave it another chance overnight and, ... my sleep was worn like a Persil-Lavender-Jasmine commercial. Wow! Can I get addicted to
Tested all the flankers in known drugstores. Nah, don't bother, there's nothing good about it, the usual cucumber water stuff with JAGUAR on it.
What remains is this totally underrated JAGUAR in green, with class, highest sillage and depth to Tolkien's greenest valley. An emerald in my 80s collection.
