I cannot fully endorse Ursus' categorization of this as a "typical 80s powerhouse," but this beautiful scent definitely deserves a favorable comment...
"12 de Jean Couturier" immediately shows where it’s headed and what it wants: it practically sprints into the corner where the ultra-dry, rather humorless fragrances gather. These are probably the high jumpers or javelin throwers who take a moment to enjoy one or two cigarettes before their next attempt, for the sake of enhanced concentration...
Stoic and unwavering, this fragrance. So self-assured that it doesn’t even feel the need to present a development. No, I start off bone dry and see no reason to change this in the heart and base.
I appreciate such consistency, even if I believe it is neither new nor unique. Just take a whiff of "Open" by Roger & Gallet, it essentially smells the same, perhaps with slightly toned-down animalic notes.
Another gem among the completely unsweet character fragrances from the 80s. As for availability: good luck with the search, I had my OF hooked after nearly three months.
