Fine sailor in old garb

Le Mâle was and is my most frequently bought perfume ever. I got my first bottle as far back as I can remember in 1998 and from then on I have a bottle of this fragrance in my collection until today. Now there are so many expansions of Le Mâle that you can hardly keep up with them anymore... I still have a bottle from 2007, which I keep very much to myself!

The best expansion of Le Mâle so far was for me the Popeye Edition and the Terrible, both really fine descendants of the original, although slightly modified, which I used from time to time. But now you think that it should be good but it will probably continue to milk the Le Mâle cow and it seems to be worth it ;)

Sprayed this one on the miller last week with an open mind. Crazy, but a little bit I felt transported back to the year 1998 when I held my first Le Mâle bottle in my hand. The typical DNA can now smell very good here in the Aviator again, for me almost like back then... With the difference that the Aviator is a bit fresher at the beginning like the Popeye edition and there is less cinnamon and something herbaceous/green pierces through. But it is quickly turned into the sweet direction, tonka and vanilla provide and there it is again, my beloved Le Mâle from its early days, even if no lavender is listed here, I think it smells good.

And what makes another difference is the durability and sillage. Compared to the original from that time, these are extremely reduced, which I think is very good, because you can wear the fragrance so wonderfully at work without knocking anyone over ;)

Summarized:
A Le Mâle extension, which (to my mind) is very close to the original from the early days, but still a bit fresher/herbaceous/greener with less hum, so you can wear it on the old days as well.

Oh, I am Happy that Le Mâle Aviator exists, it replaces the original from those days and I don't have the feeling anymore that I have to chase after a rare bottle from the 90s for many Euros ;)
