Another Chérie
A delicate scent which reminded me (and my 12-year-old daughter who adores pear-fragrances) of "Petite Chérie" by Goutal with its harmony of lively pear notes mixed with the gentlest of flowers (rose, mimosa). Very charming and idyllic. Unfortunately, not every retailer in Germany carries Jeanne en Provence fragrances, but in France you can find them in many drugstores at very affordable prices.

in Grandpa's Orchard
Yesterday, I let my gaze wander over the colorful reduced table at Karstadt - and swore myself to abstinence.

Well - one can still inform oneself a little, right?
My eye caught on a charming green little box in Belle Epoque style.
Flower garlands, ornate script, and a graceful female profile, reminiscent of a cameo.
Jeanne en Provence Pomme & Poire.

So much French I can still muster that it’s about apple and pear.
Hm - I’m not a fruit eater, but I do like the scent of apples and pears.

In the bottle jumble, I even found the tester - a pretty old-fashioned little flacon that would adorn any dressing table.

The first spray transports me to Grandpa's lush orchard, with the numerous apple and pear trees, whose branches bent under the weight of the ripe fruits.
Now that’s an intense apple - pear scent!
But the distinct fruity aroma is softened by the velvety scent of the Polyantha roses from Grandpa's magnificent rose garden.
The mandarin makes the fragrance more transparent, almost aquatic.
The water lily pond in Grandpa's garden paradise.
A certain romance even arises.

I feel drawn to this nostalgically charming scent - and am finally still amazed by the affordable price.

One can certainly stray from their abstinence resolutions now and then.

Oh how I love it.....
...and I could hardly believe it when I sprayed it for the first time yesterday!
But how did it all start? I was strolling through "Müller" and browsing a bit in the perfume corner.
My eyes fell on the beautiful nostalgic bottles of the brand, which I think look very elegant!
Overall, they had all four fragrance directions in stock, and I first reached for the green bottle (because green is my favorite color - just so you know).
At first I thought... "hmmm... okay." and sprayed it on myself, along with the rose scent. I applied several samples and sniffed here and there... and this scent of pear and apple was very unusual, as I don't own any fragrance that goes in this direction at all.
On one hand, I found the scent quite "strange," but on the other hand, I caught myself constantly sniffing the sprayed area!
But it didn't persuade me to take it home spontaneously, as I'm also looking for "the one" who is meant to be mine ;) I actually want to reduce my perfume collection (because of the one that I haven't found 100% yet) and not expand it!
So... reason prevailed, got in the car with me, and then drove home with me ;)
Strangely enough, I was already thinking about driving back to get this little green treasure on the way home!
I wondered which scent it reminded me of... it smelled somehow familiar (I am a country kid and spent my childhood in fields, forests, and meadows).
And I also remembered another perfume that I had tested years ago and had kept in mind because of its (for me) unusual components... Annick Goutal "Petite Cherie".
In any case, I sniffed around my arm for hours, and I was amazed that the scent lasted so long! I don't know that from my other two AG fragrances, as they are unfortunately very fleeting.
This one is different... it lasts and lasts and lasts... I didn't look at the clock, but by evening it was still very noticeable.
And OF COURSE I drove out again in the evening to get a green bottle :)
I find it rather close to the body with a delicate sillage.
You can definitely smell the lush pears and apples. I can also smell grass. Probably this scent takes me on a nostalgic journey back to my childhood :)
This morning after getting up, I immediately had the urge to put on this (now for me divinely smelling soul-soother).
Hmmmmmm oh how fine it smells.... of childhood, laughter, frolicking in the meadow, stretching my nose towards the sun, biting into delicious dripping ripe pears that I had previously stolen from the tree, pure sunshine on my face and simple carefreeness.... wonderful!!... why did it seem so foreign to me at first? Probably because I haven't smelled these scents in a long, long time ;)

My conclusion.... I have found a new, HUGE love!
THIS will be my spring and summer scent this year!
And now, after such a short time (and intense love), my question arises... have I FOUND HIM? Is HE the one who inspires me and with whom I am complete? He is definitely a very hot candidate and maybe, yes maybe it is love for life?

...and I am seriously considering grabbing the other two bottles that were still there so that I can have this green treasure for a long, long time. Because you never know (especially with drugstores) if it will be taken out of the range at some point... and I didn't even know the brand until yesterday. But that would be quite crazy, wouldn't it???
On the other hand, at that price (60ml for €9.95), you really can't say no, can you?
Not that I risk having to switch to the more fleeting and expensive version of AG at some point.

PS: This is my first comment on a perfume, and unfortunately, I can't impress with expertise. I still hope that I could convey a bit of the flair it exudes with my layman's impression of the scent :)

Fresh and Fruity Savior in Over 30 Degrees
This scent is currently my savior in over 30 degrees heat. When sprayed, a citrus-fruity fragrance refreshes me: A sour, juicy green apple seems to splash its juice all over me. A naturally fragrant pear adds a light sweetness together with a delicate, shy rose. The scent is natural and uncomplicated with a light sillage. It lifts my spirits and provides refreshment as well as a well-groomed, clean feeling - exactly what I wish for in a fragrance when it's over 30 degrees. I'm always cautious with pear, as it can quickly make me feel sick. But here it is so beautifully woven in and natural that it doesn't bother me at all; on the contrary! In such hot temperatures, I don't place much value on a fragrance being strongly noticeable for over 10 hours, but I enjoy it when a gentle, refreshing breeze wafts over me throughout the day. And that's what Flânerie dans le Verger - Pomme & Poire achieves: Sprayed on in the morning before cycling, it lasts at least for a large part of my work hours (about 6 hours) - after that, I need to reapply. But I'm already looking forward to that - to my sour, juicy green apple.

Something different
Today I was able to grab the scent at the local M...er as a blind buy, but at a very good price. Since I am familiar with the brand from Fleur de Mandarine & Cedrat, which produces a nice perfume with good ingredients for little money, I took the plunge.

However, upon the first spray, I thought I might have made a mistake this time. One spray and a mix of apple and pear juice stuck to my wrist. Oh no! Now everyone thinks I've spilled juice on myself.

But that was really just the top note. After that, a nice soapy scent developed, reminiscent of the apple soap we used to have when I was a child (I unfortunately can't remember what it was called. Almost everyone had it in the late 70s). So, a lovely, soapy green apple. I would be lying if I said I could detect more than that.

Pomme & Poire has a close-to-the-skin sillage, but it seems to only last about 2 hours on me. With a bit of goodwill, I could still smell something after four hours, but you just have to reapply more often. Given the price-performance ratio, that shouldn't be a problem. This will become my everyday go-to.

Like Petite Chérie EdT with its delicate pear note on a musk base. Apple and rose water are also noticeable. Light, summery, girlish.

A laid-back apple-pear shampoo/shower gel scent. I quite like that kind of thing. No-brainer.

Reminds me of fruit yogurts - pear or Williams Christ. Delicious, fruity, and fresh. Great for warm summer days, I think.

Very authentic pear scent. Initially very loud, but quickly becomes softer. I'll probably layer it, as it feels too one-dimensional for me.

Pear overload - but unfortunately not very long-lasting. H/S quite lean, but P/L top! For the price, reapplying doesn't hurt. #pearinthebottle
