Cool Rosewater
The first moments smelt of dewy rose petals and leaves after a morning shower, before quickly overtaken by equally watered, slightly peppered green facets and clean lily-of-the-valley - the whole conjuring a slightly soapy, herbaceous, cool dampness. To my surprise, this perfume stayed without losing its strength, enveloping me with a clean and cooling waft for about five hours. Even in the humid warmth, I could smell myself radiating an aura of 'just-showered' freshness like a protective shield.
Despite the blackcurrant listed, I could not sense any fruit nor even a hint of sweetness. There is no warmth nor anything remotely 'sensual' in this fragrance; instead of the romantic image the Victorianesque package and the utterly feminine pretty bottle might convey, you would find a composed primness also endorsed in that era. It might sound rather disillusioning, but my association would be of an ascetic icy cold bath in the morning dark, with shivering and teeth chattering.

Personally, I found this to be suited best for hot weather and wearing in the open air, since pepper seems to bother me too much when smelt too close, and the 'shower-freshness' felt a little out of place when the temperatures were low.
This is a foremost clean, green and herbaceous white floral offering a very decent longevity and projection and with a hint of rose that, for a change, does not owe its freshness to citrus.

three girls in the farmhouse garden
Fresh and still pleasantly cool is this morning in Provence: Angelique, Rose, and the slightly younger Camille, the three graceful daughters of the family, stroll together and chat through the farmhouse garden; as early risers, they enjoy every moment.
Of particular charm is the almost legendary rose garden of Provence.
It still wears its morning pearl veil of thousands of dew drops on leaves, flowers, and buds, which make the sun's rays sparkle like little diamonds.
What a sight!
Rich, earthy, and green-herbaceous, peppery at the top and with musk in the background, the morning fragrance symphony unfolds, mainly thanks to the angelica plants that share a large area of this rustic garden with the balsam-scented chamomile and the charming, yet radiant, aromas of already awakened lily of the valley.
The sensual fragrance beauty of white jasmine has also been awakened by the sun and plays along in this concert of delicate colors and tones.
Somewhat stronger and more robust, the black currants announce themselves from the bushes bordering the garden.
The silky-silver spice of cedarwood fits wonderfully with this morning impression, which the perfumer of the brand "Jeanne de Provence" has charmingly bottled, waiting for the first spray:
Then this wonderful morning blooms and flourishes in a farmhouse garden in Provence, where the three enchanting girls leave the prints of their bare feet on the still dew-moistened grass as they leisurely wander around, greeting every leaf and every flower and perhaps celebrating the new morning with a cup of herbal tea!

It is wet today and very windy, so I was very pleased that while rummaging through my many - still unorganized - samples, "Un Matin dans le Roseaia - Rose & Angelique" fell into my hands and thus came once again onto my skin and under my nose!
I love these herbal Mediterranean scents that create a summer day in blooming summer gardens for me, spreading the lightness and a warm smile of that place.
They make me smile too, and I simply enjoy a walk through a summer morning with the three lovely girls Rose, Angelique, and Camille and their plant companions, from whom they owe some of their names - how beautiful!

'Oh, you beautiful rose garden'
I read the comments about this fragrance here on Parfumo some time ago. Without them, I would have probably walked past the not very expensive bottle in the store without a second thought, as blind purchases are not really my way of acquiring perfume.
So I took the fragrance with me.

Right after spraying, the scent literally explodes on my skin! I find myself in a garden surrounded by opulently blooming roses of various kinds.
This garden is not an overly tidy garden, but a botanical garden where, near the somewhat rustic rose bushes, other plants grow.
These give Un Matin dans la Roseraie a slightly herbal green tone, so that the rose does not come across as excessive, but fresh, natural, yet at the same time in a very special way, spherical.

The longevity of the fragrance, which excites me so much, is also rather spherical. Simply put: On me, it is unfortunately subpar. What a pity, because I personally expect much more from an Eau de Parfum.

The sillage is also not very strong. However, in this case, that is not a bad thing, as Un Matin dans la Roseraie is wonderfully suited for sunny, not too sweltering hot summer or spring days.

The bottle in the 60ml variant is beautiful! The glass has a nostalgic striped pattern embossed and is adorned with the silhouette of a lady with an updo.
The silver spray head looks very high-quality. In terms of handling, it is as well and sprays reliably and perfectly fine mist.
However, the amount it dispenses in one spray is extreme, so for example, for one wrist, I try not to press the spray head all the way down, even though I sometimes apply two sprays to the same spot with other fragrances.

Despite some shortcomings in the B note, I am truly enchanted by the fragrance itself and hope to find the second bottle, which was still available a few days ago, in the same store tomorrow so I can get it as a backup.

Summer Roses
Compared to the yellow and green scent, I don't like this one quite as much. But it's still good enough that I recently bought it again. I think it's a beautiful scent, though. At first, I wrote that I find it a bit boring. However, the longer I wear it, the more I like it. I take it all back *gg* and have now sprayed it on properly. I will wear it on this beautiful spring day, and I think it flatters me immensely. :-) Daisy has already left me after just 2 hours; I should really throw her out of my collection. *sigh*

I primarily smell roses. Not an English rose, like in the English rose perfumes, which always remind me a bit of lamp oil. It doesn't really remind me of the Chloé scents either, but rather of a YR scent. It's a very fresh, light, and green rose. Along with the rose, there's a hint of herbal angelica at the beginning, the scent then becomes fruitier and ends on a balsamic note with cedarwood.

It wears best in summer when it's really hot. It's light and refreshing, so I would describe it as a light, refreshing summer scent. Or on a warm, sunny spring day. I haven't really warmed up to it in the other seasons so far. But that could still change. By the way, 2-3 sprays are enough to smell subtly and stylishly for over 4-5 hours.

An affordable scent that is simply beautifully floral, without being flat and synthetic like, for example, LVEB.

Smells like a sunny spring meadow. Yet also peppery-woody. That's quite nice and very subtle.

Smells a bit "herbaceous", maybe angelica? And the chamomile comes through too. Otherwise no flowers, no rose, very close to the skin, nice but short.
