The tiresome misleading naming...again!

Full of joy I stormed today the Jo Malone counter in Oberpollinger to see if the Christmas collection would already be there and tada, I was lucky. So beautiful first sprayed on paper (after some first tests gone wrong directly on the skin, where I found the scent quite horrible and no longer washed off ( e'L, I'm looking at you), I've learned) and found good, so that he was allowed to wander directly on the wrist.
I am a lover of citrusy notes and the tangerine at the beginning is really quite wonderful. Fruity, tangy, minimally bitter (probably the peel), I am very taken. The fragrance could happily stay like this for a bit longer, unfortunately the top note disappears after half an hour. And then the fragrance takes a direction that doesn't suit me so much. Instead of the expected honey, wood emerges, which seems very dry. There is no hint of sticky bee nectar, even the tonka bean remains hidden from my nose. There's nothing sweet here at all, but rather minimal spice. A bit reminds me the fragrance here of Saffron. Not bad at all, but the name once again doesn't match what's on offer. I was expecting a Christmas sweet scent to accompany me under the Christmas tree, but that's not what Starlit Mandarin & Honey is for me. I'm almost annoyed that here again something is suggested in the title, which is then not kept. The naming of some perfumes reminds me almost of politics, often big promises and nothing behind them. Since I already own a woody mandarin scent with Verveine Mandarine and also Saffron belongs to my collection, I let Starlit Mandarin & Honey pass me by and do not write it on the Christmas wish list
