Jãbir {Ja, Bier}
Cheers! I just found out today, and I've been at it for almost half a year with Jãbir. No one would have expected a pilsner here, and least of all you, I know, I'm quite surprised and tipsy from myself and, well, from Jãbir. Rose + Aoud = Beer. So hops. More like mash and steam. If you live next to a brewery, you know what I mean.
But let's start from the beginning.
Right from the start, Jãbir opens super rosy with super roses. This stays like that for quite a while. If you still need to do your annual tax adjustment, or alternatively want to defrost the freezer, NOW would be the time for that. For three or four hours, nothing happens except for rose.

Then it comes. Then you think, Wow! Where am I, what has happened? Seventh heaven, or what!? A mega-projection that, for a change, comes from you! It could be that people around you will comment on your pleasant scent. Just nod at them affirmatively and don’t smile, just as you always do.
And under no circumstances should you carry a crate of empty Öttinger in front of you, because then the focus would quickly shift.

Flower paradise, summer meadow, linden blossoms (not bad, Terra) aria nonsense, ... it could all be true, it’s all good and nice, but just take a closer sniff again.
And sorry for smearing this association on you; similar discussions about beer have once seriously spoiled the mash for me regarding Bond's "West Side," making the scent unbearable for me. That is here and now, and certainly not with Jãbir anymore. No hard feelings. Never.

Kemi. 100%. Always.

Arabian Sea of Flowers and More
Of all the fragrance descriptions of the new Al Kimijad scents on their homepage, Jabir impressed me the most. I found sharing at a price of around €325 for 50 ml quite unlikely, so I had to get a sample with my next order at ALzD.

Upon the first spray, a floral explosion erupts on my skin. Roses, violets, and freesias push their way out, difficult to assign individually, dancing in a tangled garland of flowers, lightly dusted with pink pepper. Sweet, not too heavy, as if Flora, the goddess of spring, were emptying her cornucopia over me. Unfortunately, I cannot detect the listed lily of the valley and peonies.
Over time, I feel as if I am wandering through an Arabic garden, overflowing with untamed, various, strongly fragrant flower species. Full-bloom roses climb in lavish abundance over wooden arches, the aromatic scent of wood skillfully intertwines with them. Very light oud, gentle musk, and moderately green vetiver begin to waft in as a light breeze into the dream garden. They provide a fresh momentum, ensuring that there is no oriental overdose of flowers. Gradually, they gently replace the sea of flowers and skillfully merge with them, imperceptibly sharing the leading role. The scent remains delicately floral. Patchouli (one of my nemeses) stays modestly in the background. Vanilla seems to have been overshadowed; I do not notice it.

A wonderful, floral-oriental fragrance. Very high quality and multifaceted. Clearly for women. I cannot imagine it on a man. However, I will not buy it. It is too rounded, too floral, almost too unrealistically beautiful and sweet for me. A treasure that I will keep smelling in my quiet little room. The fairy Morgaina lacks the dark and angular aspects. However, I know some perfumes that fit perfectly into their prey scheme.

If flowers, then like this...
I hate many floral notes, which makes it very difficult for me to enjoy floral fragrances. Time and again, I venture towards some, find some well-made, but none truly "beautiful." Jãbir surprises me right from the start. It is by no means a scent that overwhelms you with meaty and heavy horror flowers, thick and opulent; cloying. No; it feels fresh and soft. The flowers are wonderfully delicate, like on a summer meadow. Jãbir really evokes this association for me. A true summer fragrance. It smells of fresh nature, fresh flowers - of life. The birds are singing, the bumblebees are dancing around - wonderful. Here, the oud has been used very gently. It gives the fragrance a natural quality, enhances the impression of a summer meadow, perhaps adds natural, even fruity aspects, and the normally sweaty facets underline the brightness of the scent without being distinctly noticeable. Over time, the fragrance becomes a bit sweeter, but still not heavy. Perhaps it is sweet linden blossoms that can now be smelled; or a hint of beeswax.

Jãbir is for me a walk through a summer meadow. Joy of life, lightness. The scent is rather feminine, but not as extreme as expected. I think it is more unisex than many other floral fragrances and for me one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful, that I know.

No jubilation, just a vocal exercise
"Jãbir" starts off fresh, a bright floral blend without the usual citrus overture. It offers a true freesia scent, transparent, light, and with a fine peppery note. As I now know, it remains perceptible even in the base. From this, a delicate and slightly green floral mixture develops, with a hint of creaminess. Like with a good fragrance, I can't really pick out the individual flowers except for the freesia. The flowers stand alone for a very brief moment, and then a rather nice animalistic oud crashes in. This initially makes "Jãbir" a rather strange blend.
Now, one must accept this to a certain degree with good oud; otherwise, it's not real oud but synthetic or of low quality. Moreover, a beautiful to inexplicably fascinating scent can develop. And so it does with "Jãbir" at first. The floral blend becomes more lovable and a bit sweeter. "Jãbir" retains its bright floral character. The oud is only clearly and slightly animalistic near the skin, but in the sillage, it forms a beautiful amalgam - at first.
I want to raise the rating for such an expensive fragrance, 6.50 per ml, so I have to spontaneously trill a jubilant hosanna, otherwise, there’s nothing above 70% in the rating.
However, after two hours, I find myself at best encouraged to do a vocal exercise, something like: Ko ko ko ko ko ko ko ko ko, koooo o mix.
- For those who only hear the singers in movies practicing 'mimimi': This exercise goes down the octave in 16th notes, sung leggero, so lightly bound, 4/16 Koooo on the tonic of the scale and up the octave without smearing, with 'miiiiiiisch' back down, all legato without smearing, uh, without portato, just bound without air -
Because suddenly, I can't believe it, I smell slightly stinky lily of the valley.
But I don’t want to diminish this precious unique perfume. "Jãbir" is undoubtedly a quality fragrance, extravagant with its bright flowers and dark oud. "Jãbir" is also not an intrusive perfume. It is subtle, very restrained in the sillage. I have not yet encountered such a floral-oud scent with a consistently maintained green note.
And after another hour, the lily of the valley has also shyly hidden behind the other flowers again.
It remains a bright transparent scent with exactly the dose of oud that makes "Jãbir" more than just a floral scent with oud; I have now gotten used to it. Because when I come back into the room after a while, there still hangs in the air, just like at the beginning, a mediocre animalistic oud note. Nevertheless, "Jãbir" is a nice scent.
When I think about it, "Jãbir" does not have a dramatic progression. This is not a quality flaw; it is intentional.
But enthusiasm does not arise in me. "Jãbir" is a beautiful scent, a novelty for me, an interesting scent, a very modern scent, a feminine scent. Thanks to Aggeliki, I have a ml of Jabir and can test it more often; that suffices for now. Perhaps I will become enthusiastic about it at warmer temperatures.

Multifaceted, fascinating, nature! Unbearable?
Like most Kemis from the Xerjoff universe, Jãbir is also a fascinating olfactory work. Another masterpiece, so to speak. Or at least complex, multifaceted, and a sensory experience, akin to a good wine that one enjoys sharing with other wine connoisseurs and discussing.

Unusual and captivating to the nose, Jabir is a creation that surprises and enchants while incorporating an experience of nature. However, it is also very challenging to wear, as it demands a lot from the wearer and those around them. Jabir combines oud-like aspects, floral facets, spicy, and even fruity hints. And of course, there are balsamic, cozy, woody notes. In no way is it strongly sweet, but rather floral-sweetish, and almost slightly bitter. It unites refreshing and bright, dark and soothing nuances. Many contrasts are evident, yet they are harmoniously and sensually intertwined. It is valuable, substantial, expressive, and almost profound. Just this enumeration hints at the complexity of the Kemi.

Therefore, Jabir will not leave anyone cold who encounters this perfume. I mean: Simply exciting!

Grassy flowers. Initially, high quality oud can be smelled strongly. Gradually it disappears, and the scent becomes softer and more sublte.

Freesia pink pepper opens a moist peony heart. Laotian oud and musk cultivated by roses carry it all. Remains floral, feminine.
