Luna Kemi 2014

Luna ... a beautiful name for a perfume ... and if it’s from Kemi / Al Kimiya, then I’m even more curious, as Layla has already fascinated me so much.

The stars are sparkling and the full moon shines brightly in the night sky ... the forest is filled with magic!

About the scent:
Luna starts with the sweet aroma of forest fruits and an earthy note. Patchouli could be responsible for this, plus a secret brew from the witch's cauldron (herbaceous and spicy notes). I couldn’t name these exactly.
Soon, incense joins in, gently wrapping around the fruity-earthy-herbaceous-spicy notes. I perceive the scent as almost cool.
Wood, iris, and a leather note add to the scent progression. I can’t detect any rose. Wood and leather provide a certain edge, while iris dusts everything with a subtle powder.
With amber, vanilla, and soft musk, we move into the base. Luna becomes warmer, sweeter ... caressing the skin.
An earthy-spicy potion, um, magical scent ;) ... fascinatingly beautiful ... a dark scent and by no means ordinary!
The sorcerer has created a wonderful fragrance ... like a full moon night in the enchanted forest!
I perceive Luna more as a scent for us witches ... um, women ... the gentlemen can decide for themselves :)
Luna is wearable all year round.
The longevity is around 8-9 hours and the sillage is in the medium range ... not a room filler, but a magical scent aura is certainly guaranteed for the wearer :)
The bottle is also a little dream! Heavy and very high quality. The cap is a real eye-catcher!

Conclusion:
Full moon night in the enchanted forest!
Herb scent mixed with damp earth.
Sweet aroma of forest fruits lingers in the air.
Spicy-earthy potion!

So I am enchanted ... and now I’m grabbing my broom and flying through the cool full moon night :)
Pssst ... dreamy witches/wizards should definitely give this a try ;) ... the price, yes, that can’t be magically vanished ... but that’s the only downside!

It is a mysterious night; fog lies over the land.
But these are not eerie gray mists that weigh everything down and harbor lurking dangers.

"Luna" brings delicate, pastel-colored fog creatures to life, who gently float and dance, whispering and enticing - they can be a bit frivolous.
They delight in all the scents of the fruits, flowers, and plants they encountered on their journey here.
All of these have given them, out of sheer joy over the visit, the most beautiful things they possess.
Thus, these fog dancers begin their dance in a veil of fruity notes: they are ripe and aromatic.
The citrus fruits, as always leading the way, are gently followed by apple and mango, captured in a first little swirl of fragrance.
Apricot and the wonderfully tart black currant take a bit more time before they lovingly and robustly embrace these playful scent children.
Some spices (I can clearly detect a light pepper note) and herbal beings (is that lavender dancing there?) also want to have their share: they finally join in and thus greet a wonderfully spicy incense note.
This opening of the fragrance is already magical: a light, swirling dance of many little feet that joyfully blend the various scents.
Iris and the proud rose did not want to be left out, and so the large-bloomed white jasmine also contributed a generous dose of its slightly intoxicating aroma. They all have so much of it, and every sunny day fills the scent tanks of these proud flowers anew.
Cedarwood is always welcome and shares its place here with leather.
One might almost believe that the classic "Russian Leather" has contributed a part of itself to the collection bags of the fog beings. It is more than just a simple leather scent note.
"Luna" develops beautifully and richly so far; nothing is left to chance, nothing is missing, nothing disturbs.
The head and heart of this fragrance are one: oh, how I wish that were more often the case with us!
But the big three are not to be kept waiting any longer: musk rises powerfully; the light-footed fog clouds become a bit heavier, more compact.
Amber and vanilla - smoky resin and warming eroticism - also complete the circle here.
As so often, they form the fragrant closing duo of a fragrance composition.

"Luna's" fog creatures awaken to their full fragrant beauty: for now the moon stands above them.
The full moon, lowering its silver light beams, to also receive some of the fragrant floating and dancing down there on earth, over mountains and valleys, in the forests and on the meadows.
For it is well known that a woman, a goddess, lives on the moon!
And this goddess also wishes to delight in this swirling scent, to be surrounded by it for a long time.
Doesn't the moon sometimes have a delicate pink veil?
For "Luna" is faithful and "Luna" speaks to the soul; this fragrance awakens a longing, a melancholy in me despite all its beauty.
This feeling recently took on a startlingly clear form: I wore "Luna," as I often do in the evening, and by chance heard "2raumwohnung" on the radio. In that moment, we sank into each other; therefore:

"Luna" lets one float, dream, and slowly sinks reality - into fragrant, pastel-colored fog clouds!

What are the many listed fruits doing in the top note of "Luna"? I was convinced that my first impression would be a sweet fruit salad. Not at all! All the ingredients of the fragrance are masterfully intertwined, as my predecessor also describes. Herbal and spicy notes wonderfully blend with the fruits. Iris and cedar. Dry. The leather whip snaps gently. A clear and brilliantly bright incense (I only know this from "Sancti - Eau Delà") provides a transparency like silvery bright moonlight. La Luna, the name fits this creation perfectly.

A cool, bright scent, as if one stands in a starry night in a clearing and pays homage to the moon goddess. There is rustling in the fern bushes. The scent of the forest with its earthiness penetrates the nose, a cool breeze arises and one shivers slightly while pulling the leather cloak tighter around oneself. Incense is ignited and the rounding crescent moon shines down on its followers. The rest? Only for the initiated.

I don't know when I would wear the fragrance other than during a moon ritual or spell. It is not simple, not sweet and nice, but cool, unique, and does not necessarily seek to please. Some who buy it based on the listed fragrance notes will be very disappointed. This is not a scent for fruit-vanilla fans. It promises nothing and yet delivers a lot. I can imagine it well on some men. In the German language, the moon is masculine, while in almost all other languages it is feminine. Dual is also the scent for me.

if you are interested in leather fragrances, there is much to discover and sniff. The combination of a strong leather note with fruity, herbal, and oriental nuances is quite rare, however. When it comes to such interesting accents, Tuscan Leather comes to mind, but unfortunately, it gives me a headache.

Luna, when sprayed, feels like a burst of the Orient. Fruits, flowers, woods, incense. At first, it seems quite opulent and oriental, but also very beautiful. Quickly, the leather note in Luna takes on one of the main roles, smelling smoky and herbal, and now nothing is too sweet or fruity. Luna now reminds me of the less appreciated Tuscan Leather, but it feels much more pleasant to my nose. The fruits smell very natural, almost edible, are a bit sweeter, the rose adds some elegance, and vanilla even gives a hint of indulgence. Of course, Luna does not turn into a gourmand. The strong leather, incense, jasmine, and rose create clear contrasts here. However, it feels gentler, more yielding, and somewhat more natural to me than Tuscan Leather, which is one of the few fragrances I find comparable.

Camel riding... the saddle full of fruits and oriental delights. Not the usual glove leather, not classic saddle leather, but a beautiful and pleasantly interpreted rendition that remains wearable for me, even though I usually find the combination of fruits, flowers, incense, herbs, and leather (as in Tuscan Leather) less enjoyable.

I generally think little of assigning fragrances to specific skin or hair types. However, Luna is a scent that I can especially imagine on a person with dark brown or black hair, but with a not too dark complexion. Thus, it is quite contrary to me, but I think it can work wonderfully on some people.

I was very curious about the scents from Al Kimiya. After he moved in over the weekend and I had filled the vials for my co-sharers, I first put him on the shelf, as he was quite intense and the whole living room was fragrant, to the point that my furry friends were already overwhelmed by the scent.
This morning was the big reveal; sprayed at 6:00 AM and off to work. I sat down at my desk, turned on the computer, and started working. In the meantime, there were no colleagues who hadn’t come by to sniff around me. Everyone was taken with it and asked me for the name. Even a colleague from the lower floor (open staircase) came up out of curiosity and said, what smells so pleasant here!

So I would consider the scent to be very positive. With such unknown (new) fragrances, you often don’t know what to expect.
I would say the fruity notes come across rather subtly, while the spicy woody elements dominate, rounded off by musk and vanilla, which in my opinion doesn’t come across too strongly.

A very pleasant and long-lasting scent (although I believe I shouldn’t wear it to work anymore).
As the name Luna suggests, it should perhaps be worn at this time.
Unless you love a grand entrance…..
