A: Slainté! Cranberry-Juice. B: It's a natural diuretic - my girlfriend drinks it when she has her period. Do you have your period... ?

Many may wonder how I come to the headline - it is a quote from one of my absolute favorite movies (The Departed) and definitely one of the best scenes in the whole film - but what does that have to do with this fragrance now?

Well - I opened the bottle & sprayed the first two sprays on the neck & the immediately following association was: freshly squeezed cranberry juice!
And in my head immediately played said scene...

Prelude:
Freshly squeezed sour-tart cranberry juice - in the first minute very refreshing - then becoming increasingly tart, gradually ambrierend and after a good 5 min comes a (still) discreet smokiness to it - vanilla I do not perceive now yet.

Course:
Cranberry now turns into a berry mixture (as if you throw a bag of frozen berry mix in the smoothie maker & mix once fully) - tangy! Different berries can be smelled out - with me especially now sweeter becoming cranberries (vanilla now sits down to ...) Forest strawberries and black currants, the latter give the sweetness an intense sour contrast. Vanilla now spreads further & further & also the oud becomes smokier & smokier - I would be interested at this point what kind of oud was used.... (Laotian? No, to this the medicinal is missing...)

Finish:
As described in the course remains the fragrance on my skin (4 sprays total) for 9-10 h on a good arm's length well perceptible - sandalwood I smell only for a good 3h - so comes only towards the end and gives the fragrance again a pleasant elegance - the last 3-4 h I find him also most masculine, because the sandalwood adds a certain dark spice which reminds me most likely to "Zware Shag" - so dark tobacco (eg.B. from Kentucky) reminds - before quite also from female specimens of our guild to carry (If no oud aversion present...)

Conclusion:
Smoky oud berry mix with sandalwood twist & beautiful amber that flashes through every now and then pleasant & gives the overall work a sensual base - which is not overdosed, quite casual to wear (with me today, for example, during a 4h team meeting ...) but its main area of application is certainly when going out or clubbing - as a date fragrance? - Can you do - should you know his counterpart, however, (yet) (not at all) - perhaps rather not - since there are quite a few people who repels any oud component.

Overall, I like it very very well & just the cranberry comes through very well with me - because I love cranberry's - too bad that you hardly get fresh here in DE & if then at horrendous prices, because a freshly squeezed plays in another league - compared with the tetra pack stuff you often see here on shelves.

Who likes berries (especially red!): Test!
Who likes (discreet) smoky oud: Testing!

So: And now I'm in the mood for nen Cosmopolitan Sex and the City style of course with cranberry juice - I just have to leave the house tonight but again - before of course still 3-4 sprays to add. ;-)
