Challenging

I have tried hard to like this fragrance but I have failed. The notes can be very pungent, particularly to non-arab noses. I generally adore rose-oud combinations but this one has been particularly challenging. It opens with a slightly spicy-powdery, salty-metallic, animalic note and proceeds to a dark and heavy leather-oud base with whiffs of a dark rose. Neither mass-appealing nor appropriate for daily use in my opinion. Longevity are sillage are very impressive; one spray ought to suffice.

Overall, I can see why some people would find beauty in this perfume and call it a masterpiece, and I respect that opinion. Personally for me, I wish I could have my money back and spend it one something more palatable instead.

Love at first sight

This is truely one of the best If not the best oud/rose combination. As a tribute for Killians first shop in Doha (Pearl) they couldnt have done better!! The rose and oud are so well blended you feel like a sjeikh! I’m not a big fan of rose but in this one it’s sophisticated rich & deep that you will fall instantly in love! The rose gets on the background while the “leather” comes above. This is strong & masculine.
One of the best creations of Killian and what a tribute to the Arabian state!
Respect respect & more respect !!
