Woman in Gold Kilian 2017 Perfume

I just received a new perfume: Kilian Woman in Gold.
I opened the box, sprayed once on my wrist… and I was done.
A prisoner. I can’t stop smelling it.

Woman in Gold is that perfume — the one I didn’t know I was missing until now.
And suddenly, here we are. We’ve met.

She is luminous, bright, easygoing, kind.
She smiles as early sun rays warm her skin.
Flirtatious, confident, elegant — a true girl’s girl.

She leans in and says, “You’re worth it.”
And I believe her.
I am.

I feel soft and feminine — guarded, but brave.
The gourmand base wraps me in warmth.
Tonka and vanilla take my hand and spin me into a slow dance.
Rose petals glow in the sunlight, gently finding their rhythm.

And then it clicks.
I finally feel it.

I am luminous.
I am bright.
I am easygoing and kind.

I am that woman.
Woman in Gold.

I have found so beautiful perfumes with citrusy touch lately. That note isn’t easy for me but when it’s blended seamlessly with other notes it’s absolutely charming.

I’m totally in love with Woman in Gold. Creamy composition with a captivating combination of vanilla and bergamot, refined rose and deepening Tonka and patchouli create a special and unique scent.

It feels like a fragrance from decades past updated for the modern era. It has a glowing glamour, a stylish, sensual and seductive character, and yet it is extremely versatile. The scent is powdery, fluffy, a bit hazy, but still bright. The patchouli doesn’t make it dark in any way. This is not a rose perfume in the way that you can smell clearly it’s petals. The most prominent notes are Bergamot and Vanilla.

I’m totally hooked on this. Woman in Gold is great for parties with an evening dress, but I can’t resist wearing it after a shower in the evening. It brings a touch of luxury to an ordinary day. Longevity is excellent and it leaves a seductive scent trail behind you. The scent is office safe and it’s suitable to wear year around.

Since I own Tocade by Rochas, I have to agree with everyone who compares the two.

If you know what Tocade smells like, then you know what this beauty, Woman in Gold by Kilian, smells like too.
There is no need to even mention the price difference. Tocade is around 40 euros for 100 ml, while the little Kilian is around 300 euros for 50 ml.
It’s a bit unclear to me why they went with the Tocade route; after all, Kilian ought to be crafting its own unique story. I say this because the scents align quite closely. The differences: for the first half-hour, Kilian Woman in Gold is essentially Tocade camouflaged in a Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme wrapper—that thick, dark, powdery-yet-edible warm cocoa vibe (my association), or rather, *kulfi*...

Tocade actually seems a bit stronger to me...
I won't be buying it, as that would truly be a waste of money.

Since I adore Tocade by Rochas, I find WIG to be a wonderful fragrance as well. It would be the ultimate experience if the Ford scent could hold its own, letting those two gorgeous fragrances—Noir and Tocade—duke it out. The combination is beyond perfect, so whenever I want to wear Kilian's WIG, I’ll simply combine these two beauties I already own.

I’m not sure if I’m disappointed by the "copy" or enriched by the idea of ​​combining Ford and Tocade.

Incredible. Along with bergamot and rose.
It immediately transports me to another setting.
Chandeliers, evening, gala, expensive clothing, expensive guests, you know.
When the air smells of luxury and is so good that you don’t want to leave.
Then calm sets in, who walks in?
It must be this woman in gold.
Golden earrings, long white dress, subtle makeup.
She smells of vanilla, bergamot, rose.
Oh how elegant.
She just stands there and captivates everyone around her.
How does she do it?

When I smell this fragrance, I have to think of moments I haven’t experienced but would love to.

I already liked Kilian before.
But now I’m sitting here and can’t stop smelling my arm.

How soft can vanilla be?
How pleasant the composition?
I am completely enchanted.

It is a wonderful scent that I didn't understand right away. At first, I thought it was too mature, but after further testing, I now find it age-neutral.
I associate the vanilla note in many fragrances with simplicity. I cannot describe this scent as typical and simple, even though I can't find anything incredibly special about it. Just a harmonious, full, and feminine composition. The perfume smells expensive, and with it, you really feel like a woman in gold. I smell burnt caramel, unobtrusive and warm. It is not monotonous, and the light floral notes are really very pleasant.
Longevity and sillage are very good.
