You think you have a simple floral water in front of you, and then...
The notes of the fragrance sounded very pleasant from the start - as a confessed fan of tea and floral notes, I felt immediately drawn in. Then I saw the price... uff. Does it have to be?
In the past, I have often tested expensive fragrances that were absolutely not worth the price. It was then easy to shake my head and let the samples go. I was fortunate enough to receive a sample of this fragrance, which was somewhat cheaper, but still quite pricey for a sample. Somehow, I still felt that it had to be.
The fragrance captivated me from the very first second. Yes, it is a floral tea scent. But it brings a deep, pleasant spiciness that elevates it from mediocrity. It remains ever-present, bringing both freshness and a certain warmth, making it no trivial floral water. The sillage is subtle, which I really like - the more familiar I become with perfumes and the older I get, the less I want to bother people with a cloud of scent. Rather, I wish for a fragrance that is always present but underscores my personality and not the other way around, true to the motto: I want to wear the fragrance, not the fragrance wear me.
For a fragrance with such a fresh, light-footed character, I find the longevity (about 9 hours for me, during which I perceive it constantly) perfectly acceptable. Nowadays, I find it rather creepy when a fragrance clings to me for days and doesn't want to let me go. For me, Extraordinaire Camelia is absolutely worthy of being a signature scent. Personally, I see it (also due to the price and character) more suited for a woman over 30. Of course, the name also makes me think of the Lady of the Camellias, a wayward woman who is willing to give up everything for love. The story is not nice, it is not pink cotton candy, and exactly that is not what this fragrance is either. For me, it is clear: This fragrance has left a lasting impression on me and is to be a part of my life from now on.
