You think you have a simple flower water in front of you, and then...
The notes of the fragrance sounded very pleasant - as a self-confessed fan of tea and floral notes, I was immediately drawn to it. Then I saw the price... uff. Does it have to be?
In the past, I have often tested expensive fragrances that were absolutely not worth the price. It was then easy to shake my head and let the bottlings slide. I was lucky enough to get a bottling of this fragrance, which was a little cheaper, but still quite expensive for a bottling. But somehow I still had the feeling that I had to have it.
The fragrance captured me from the very first second. Yes, it is a floral tea fragrance. But it has a deep, pleasant spiciness that lifts it out of mediocrity. It always remains present, brings both freshness and a certain warmth and is therefore not a trivial floral fragrance. The sillage is restrained, which I really like - the more familiar I become with perfumes and the older I get, the less I want to bother people with a cloud of fragrance. Rather, I want a fragrance that is always present, but that emphasizes my personality and not the other way around, true to the motto: I want to wear the fragrance, not the fragrance me.
For a fragrance with such a fresh, light-footed character, I find the longevity (in my case about 9 hours, in which I perceive it constantly) perfectly fine. Meanwhile, I find it rather creepy when a fragrance clings to me for days on end and doesn't want to let me go. For me, Extraordinaire Camelia is absolutely signature-worthy. Personally, I see it (also because of the price and the character) more on a woman over 30. Of course, the name also makes me think of the Lady of the Camellias, a vicious woman who is prepared to give up everything for love. The story is not nice, it is not pink cotton candy, and that is exactly what this fragrance is not. For me, one thing is certain: this fragrance has made a lasting impression on me and will always be a part of my life from now on.
