Comely Patchouli

Krigler LOVELY PATCHOULI is a smooth and loveable leather-patchouli fragrance. Simple yet satisfying, the leather and the patchouli are perfectly balanced and mutually complementary. The amber base holds the two together and imparts excellent longevity without detracting from the focal notes, which together are slightly earthy without being dirty, in this respect somewhat similar to Hermès TERRE.

LOVELY PATCHOULI really is lovely, or perhaps 'comely' would be a better word. This is a savory, not a sweet patchouli composition suitable for gals and guys alike, provided of course that they like leather and patchouli! The sillage is pretty low, but you may find your nose drifting toward your wrist...

What a beautiful patchouli scent!
Nothing gloomy or dark, but bright and soft. Juicy, yet gentle earth with freshly sprouting grass. Naked, dressed only in fine leather gloves, rolling in the grass, a citrus drink in hand...
The sun shines on your face and warms every pore of your skin like golden, sweet amber. Powdery fluffy and vanillic.
How beautiful you are! A kiss between two lovers, with a pounding heart, with excitement and longing and love.

Lovely Patchouli is really very lovely

Krigler reduced by 40%, I had to go.
First up was Lovely Patchouli.
Suspecting that it couldn't withstand my preference for hardcore patchouli, I still sprayed it on.
Nothing.
Just the scent of my warm skin.
A second spray on the same spot, left wrist, pulse area.
Now I smell something. But it's a bit fresh and sour. Not the warmth or softness I expected. When I look at the fragrance notes now, I realize it was bergamot. In the store, they didn't have a list of the fragrance notes, and I couldn't figure out what was so sour coming from the bottle. Since the second spray only produced a hint of scent, I didn't find the acidity (which I usually don't like) unpleasant. However, I didn't like the scent.
After about 15 minutes, the sour note was replaced by something warm and rounded. A mix of leather and vanilla and a very, very delicate patchouli note.
What hasn't changed is the intensity of the scent; it remains very weak, and I can only perceive it when I press my nose against my wrist. Up to this point, I like the scent based on the notes, but a scent that is so delicate doesn't suit me.

After about 4 hours (I had already forgotten that I sprayed my arm), while hanging laundry in the garden, I smell a beautiful creamy vanilla scent.
I remember my test arm and I'm amazed at how intense the scent has suddenly become after hours! It's not patchouli and not amber; it's a creamy vanilla, and there is an incredible similarity to Vaniglia del Madagascar by I Profumi di Firenze!

I have never experienced a scent increasing its intensity like this after hours. I was looking for a patchouli scent and found a very surprising vanilla scent.
