B. Just B.
B by Bellodi. A logical title that I immediately thought of during my first olfactory test. This doesn’t need explaining, I think, as I appeal to your deductive skills. The title somehow reminds me of Gustave Flaubert, who is said to have considered a day successful if he had written just one new word. Anyway - to digress further - I first wore B during a sales challenge at the office, where the goal was to revive dormant candidates. I was motivated, as I wanted to buy a dinosaur fatsuit with the Amazon voucher. What I did to directly curb the overwhelming excitement.

In any case, I was wearing B, as I mentioned. A very multi-layered scent, a fragrance of contrasts. On one hand, the date is juicy and perceptibly sweet. On the other hand, it has a leathery scent. Rather fatty with a slight coffee note. Wrapped in subtle incense, ultimately hard to grasp so that B only reveals itself after several wears. At first, the scent struck me as somewhat strong and quite robust in terms of leather. However, the date significantly softens this effect. The juicy element gives the leather broader legs, and when the leather threatens to overflow after about 30 minutes, there is this fleshy sweetness that eliminates the harsh notes and keeps B overall moderate.

In the middle part, an oily-earthy, wet but not jungle-like oud pushes to the forefront, accompanied by bitter-musty earthy tones evoked by the patchouli. In a certain way, the effect of the oud thus becomes more multifaceted, appearing elongated. Of course, the woody notes are complemented by cedar, which, however, does not penetrate properly and does not enrich B. Only later does it become slightly balsamic, with amber enveloping all other ingredients, wrapping them like a cocoon. A surprising development that may not please everyone.

In conclusion, it should be noted that B - once deciphered - has been stripped of its coarse leather magic. From this point on, the leather appears broader, more pleasing, and somehow harmless. Of course, this is not a penetrating sweetness like in Ombre Leather, yet this element is present. I myself was out at this point. B is, despite everything, an elegant creation. It is a shame about the lack of consistency and coherence.

Does a Beaver Cross the Kö
"B" for Beast? "B" for Bomb? "B" for Ballermann? "B" for Bitch please? "B" for the second letter of the alphabet? "B" for chest hair? "B" for Beaver cool?

"B" by Cristiana Bellodi is an animalic beeswax scent that hasn't been washed (not) at all. Smoke, oud, patchouli - a hippie with full confidence in Christmas mode. Incense stick attack included. "B" is a massive piece of artillery that is hardly manageable in enclosed spaces. The environment reacts extremely to it - and usually not in a very positive way. But as a Parfumo with guts, you can definitely rock it. Compliments should not be expected, except from like-minded individuals. A newly rich beaver. So almost like Justin... just with bigger cojones. Much bigger.

Bottle: the prototypes at GAoP were indeed more eye-catching, but the "normal" ones also look good.
Sillage: a beast
Longevity: bear-strong - 9 hours

Conclusion: "B" is a blast in the middle between gourmand and animalic, which sometimes demands and sometimes overwhelms. When dosed very lightly, it can definitely be a stylish beast. Baff.

B-Ware
The fragrances by Cristiana Bellodi caught my attention at last year's GAoP in Düsseldorf. They stood out especially visually, as the small bottles were adorned with mirror-like dodecahedrons, meaning 12-sided caps that were twice the size. At first, I couldn't quite determine whether they were meant to be body or room perfumes.

Kindly, I was given a sample labeled "B," which also puzzled me, even though the ingredients were listed.

The tricky part is that the pyramid almost suggests a gourmand scent. Sicilian orange, dates, and vanilla pod sound almost too delicious. But upon closer inspection and sniffing, "B" reveals an animalic-woody-smoky-earthy mixture that is anything but light fare.

Especially the oud pushes forward quite animalically, while the patchouli simultaneously digs deep earthy, moldy furrows. On its own, that's still okay, but what temporarily causes me discomfort is the blend of a metallic sharp note and the hint of freshly pulled radish/celery.

At this point, I'm not entirely sure whether there's more intention or accident on the part of the perfumer.

After that, the scent calms down again, allowing more room for some leather and a hint of incense, but orange and dates somehow remain hidden.
In the drydown, the softer notes naturally take the lead, allowing "B" to last a good 10 hours overall.

For those interested in numbers, it should be noted that 100 ml of the Eau de Parfum is priced at €150. And I'm sure there are enough people who can be excited about "B."

Let's see if some more opinions can be gathered here, but for my taste, the creation smells too much like DIY. I somehow miss the soft elegance of the promised ingredients, or I perceive olfactory unevenness that scratches in my nose and makes it difficult for me to embrace "B" in my heart - aside from the fact that this has never been one of my favorite letters.

Sharp leather, the date wraps around this and makes the scent appear rounder. Later on, woody, smoky, dry oud.

It’s probably called "B" because of its inspiration from Black Afgano. Oud + patch in Marsala casks with leather and Southern Comfort with orange peels. Noble.

Heavy, dark, and resinous-spicy oriental with sweet dried fruit notes. Not a gourmand at all, more animalistic-dirty. Wow!

Unfortunately, the scent has a sour-musty undertone alongside its resins, dried fruits, leather, and oriental flair.

The notes remind me of Heeleys' very good "Phoenicia," probably with a sweeter base.
