L'Eau de L'Artisan Parfumeur / Etro Magot' Twins Seperated by Birth
This smells just like Etro's Magot
With the simularities of the strong Lemon note
I don't really care for
Aromatic scents very much and these are
one of them. there is an bitter minty
note mixing with the note of Lemon
makes it Nausiaiting This also smells
just like Eau de Guerlien with it's
scent of Mint Toothpaste
No originality just a bland fragrance.

L'Eau de L'Artisan
This fragrance opens with a sparkly citrus accord dominated by lemon. As the fragrance settles on my skin a sweet note - mint - mixes beautifully with the citrus notes. Specks of basil and seaweed add dimension and contrast to the sweeter main notes, resulting in a well-balanced composition. There is enough tartness, sweetness, saltiness and herbal earthiness to make this a very interesting and easy-to-wear summer scent. Unfortunately, it does not last very long, after roughly four hours it is gone.

Brisk, Refreshing Citrus Green Cologne
I am a bit confused by the note hierarchy for L'Artisan Parfumeur L'EAU DE L'ARTISAN. To my nose, this is a very straightforward citrus green cologne. Brisk, refreshing, natural smelling and with just a touch of oakmoss to give it that extra zing. I'm not imagining this--evernia prunastri is listed among the ingredients on my manufacturer's carded sample.

The basil and grass are in full evidence, but mint I am not detecting at all. I'm having a difficult time distinguishing this composition, in fact, from any number of other high-quality citrus colognes featuring petit grain and having a light greenish cast. It smells quite nice, but L'EAU DE L'ARTISAN does not stand out from the crowd, and its middling longevity makes me think that this one should really come in a large splash bottle. Nonetheless, this does seem like a perfect summertime scent!

Cute and lovely like Imagination
L'Eau de L'Artisan opens with a delightfully soft citrus accord that immediately feels uplifting and effortless. Rather than chasing intensity, it focuses on elegance and natural freshness. The opening has a charming, almost comforting quality that makes it incredibly easy to appreciate from the very first spray.
Interestingly, it reminded me of Louis Vuitton Imagination not because the compositions are similar, but because they evoke the same emotional response. Both fragrances share that refined, clean, and quietly luxurious character that feels approachable, optimistic, and exceptionally wearable.
The composition remains smooth and transparent throughout its development, never becoming overwhelming. It is a fragrance that embraces subtlety over projection, making it an excellent choice for those who appreciate understated sophistication instead of loud performance.
Performance is the only area where expectations should remain realistic. On my skin, it lasted around 4–5 hours, becoming a close skin scent well before the end of its lifespan. While longevity is moderate, the fragrance's charm lies elsewhere.
I see this as the perfect companion for a warm summer evening. Imagine walking hand in hand with someone you love while a gentle summer breeze carries the scent through the air. In moments like these, L'Eau de L'Artisan feels completely at home. It is not a fragrance designed to dominate a room it is designed to enhance a beautiful moment with effortless elegance.

time within the times
When a February in North Rhine-Westphalia shows nearly 20°C for several consecutive days in the Ruhr area, special measures are needed, not least of an olfactory nature.
Down jackets and winter boots, the woolly dominant pieces in the wardrobe, were pushed aside in surprise, making way for light dresses and airy blouses that had been hastily awakened from their winter slumber, along with open shoes.
Spicy-heavy cozy clouds were suddenly a thing of the past, giving way to spring-green silk ribbons, spring-sky-blue taffeta, and entire greenhouses of early bloomers, captured in the bottle.
"Spring - yes, it is you..." - or is it more the climate change?!

Whatever it has brought us, this early spring - I admit: I enjoyed it.
A few days of freedom of movement, a few days of great mood, a few days of light in abundance and more green peeking out from the ground than is probably good for it.
And so it was certainly no coincidence that my blind grab into the sample box landed on that very L'Artisan that fit these days like no other: "L'Eau de L'Artisan" transports the unexpected lightness, the gentle freshness of that "time within the times" like hardly any other fragrance, not even from the same house and the same nose.

"L'Eau de L'Artisan" opens on my skin with a gentle, juicy, absolutely non-acidic and yet extremely refreshing lemon, which has nothing candy-like about it, nothing scratchy or prickly.
It immediately marries with the herb-floral verbena, beginning to shine, to shimmer like the cool morning air of early spring, which already promises the warmth of the day but cannot yet hold it, cannot hold it.
And even now, there is also a hint of hay - that hay which I already know from “L'Été en Douce," the sibling fragrance, also created by Olivia Giacobetti - the same nose, the same signature.
Coincidences, I am sure, do not exist.

What happens next on my skin is not a grand spectacle - more of a chamber play.
A small, fine chamber play with few protagonists, closely connected with each other, with me, with my skin.
Soft and silky, white, pale yellow, pale green with streaks of light blue, airy blue, watery blue.
Not a painting in pastel - street artist chalk, dusty, powdery, dry, the light pigmented.
Early spring light, early morning light.
Like 20 degrees in February.
And perhaps also in March.

Freshly cut green grass, herbal bitter and lemony, with some leftover fruity sweetness.

Cucumber juice & melon water, a bit of green leaf, a splash of mandarin. Bright, fresh, fruity, nice. But not worthy of the brand or the perfumer.

Beautiful and pleasant Cologne variant with herbal-green notes, subtle floral hints, a touch of sea breeze, and a fine mossy base.

Lemons roll with a serious face through the herb garden. Unfortunately, no hay. Fresh-herb, green-spicy retro cologne. More for men.

A summer refresher from the classic men's cologne corner. Fresh-citrusy, then herbal-green and woody.
It has edge, but also maturity.
