Nice cream smell

Light, creamy, soft, slightly powdery, shinny at first, close to skin and easy to wear white musk after. To enjoy it you must enjoy or be searching for a perfume that smells as a facial cream. The way aldehydes are used here has more to do with body lotions than with classic aldehydic perfumes. First thing it made me think of was nivea cream. I like it though I much prefer Lancaster's Sole di Capri, which I wish was coming back.

La Crème de la Crème

It is a shame the poor success that this perfume, released in order to celebrate the 70 th annniversary of Lancanster, and supposely, based on the scent of its range of solar care. In the country in were I live, you find it already at the discount section.

And it is a pity, because Le Pafum Solaire is a truly beautiful perfume with a good quality. It is the ugly orange box? The plane bottle, that makes me to think about a celebrity perfume? Le Parfum Solaire has nothing to do with current solar oils. No coconut, no vanilla, no monoï. To my nose, it is like a sporty, casual sister of Estée Lauder White Linen or Chanel Nº 22. The same radiant aldehydic vibe, the same beautiful, conforting, delicate white florals. It is the apotheosis of the soap and the cold crème. Sheer and inmaculate, like a beauty of very fair skin without makeup and simply dressed. Its beauty is natural, and yet glamourous and sophisticated. It talks about freshly washed faces and Nivea Cream.

If you find it, give it a chance.

Lancaster Sunscreen Spray

This scent made me very curious, as I used to use Lancaster sunscreen lotion for a while. "Le Parfum Solaire" really smells exactly like the sunscreen! The fragrance is very unique and might be a bit too much for some. I don't know which component it is (the hyacinth?), but it is quite intense.
Still, it is a warm, very creamy scent that smells like vacation - and a must for all Lancaster fans! I find the bottle beautiful, the colors orange and brown remind me a bit of the 70s :-)

not just for bath fun

I was only familiar with Lancaster's skincare products so far - including the sunscreen.

But the special scent that also emanates from the jars and tubes greets me from the bottle as well.

The intro is somewhat sharp and slightly aldehydic soapy - but pleasant.
Nothing is scratchy.
The lily of the valley leans more towards the delicate-bitter direction, underscored by intense ylang.
The interesting spicy cinnamon note warms over time.
Despite the sunny title, for me, it is not exclusively a summer fragrance.
The rose is soft and velvety, and the violet also shows subtle sharpness.

The longevity and intensity of Solaire are surprising.

I would lean towards more transparent scents in summer, but Solaire will certainly wear well in autumn.
A definitely attractive fragrance with character, and even a hint of elegance.

Not just suitable for bath fun.
