Since it's hardly available anymore, it's different because not everyone wears it.
For me, a beautiful "old school" blue scent. I rediscovered it and like it just as much as before.
Masculine and elevated, for the mature man who doesn't need a big show. The scent holds back slightly, yet is still present.
It fits perfectly with a suit and a freshly ironed shirt. Very classic.

For those who prefer social-gushed Ambroxan bombs like Bleu de Chanel, Dior Sauvage, Dylan Blue, go for it, then I'll stand out more :-)

Being different is my thing, and that's why it still gets used from time to time, the Blu di Roma.
To the old times!

Well...
It was one of my first perfumes that I bought myself. I knew Roma Uomo from my father, which still brings me beautiful memories whenever I smell it. So I thought a fresher version could be good too. Back then, I sampled it and found it to be unremarkable but okay. I wore it for a while, but eventually, the scent just got to me, either from my throat or nose. That hasn't changed to this day. It simply smells extremely synthetic, almost cheap. I can hardly identify any fruits in the perfume. As someone before me wrote, it’s a textbook shower gel-aquat, which I think fits quite well. Longevity and sillage, well, correspond to the price range. Overall, a nice introduction to my perfume world, but I don’t need to smell it anymore today.

Everyday Scent
I just tried this fragrance and have to agree with my predecessors in their assessment.
I smell something aquatic, but somehow quite synthetic; I can't perceive any lemon or grapefruit at all, and the scent hardly develops, which makes it a bit boring.
Sillage and longevity are average.
50.- for 75ml is not exactly cheap; there are definitely better summer men's fragrances for the money.

Edit: I found a second sample of the same perfume and want to share my findings.
As mentioned, there are hardly any citrus notes detectable in this scent, but there is something fresh and herbal that sets this summer fragrance apart from many others of its kind.
I also now smell that the fragrance does develop after some time.
It becomes softer, but still remains masculine, just more pleasant. A likable note emerges, which would make the scent an option for me again, especially since summer fragrances tend to become cheaper over time. I would treat myself to a bottle starting at 30.-.....

Yawningly boring, flat aquatic scent
I don't even know why I still touch bright blue bottles in perfumeries that come onto the market just in time for the summer season.

Maybe it's because I really liked the classic "Roma uomo" especially as a teenager, and I still appreciate it today, although the many years of perfume experience and lessons have led me to the impression that Biagiotti's original is well-crafted but somewhat clumsy and not very complex (primarily just orange-vanilla).

"Essenza di Roma uomo" was already as unnecessary as a goiter last year, as it resembles the original nearly 90%, just a bit less sweet-fruity.

This beach offshoot now presents itself similarly to the many inconsequential aquatic scents that have dominated the warm season in perfumeries for years.

At first, it has a slight grapefruit emphasis; I notice a hint of honeydew melon. However, everything is surrounded by an (still within tolerable limits) artificial aqua note that dominates many scents in this category.

Some may find it vacation-like; I do not.
It's the same old formula, and I much prefer all the good natural Italian cologne scents or even the algae-like "Erolfa," which do not rely so clumsily on this synthetic aqua aroma trend.

It becomes minimally soft-woody in the heart phase, although I can hardly speak of phases, as "Blu" is extremely consistent and hardly develops.

At best, guaiac wood breaks through a bit later, perhaps some white musk as well. The aqua note remains hovering above everything, and the whole thing remains somewhat melon-like.

Artistically, really not worth mentioning.

A soda-like sparkling double dose of citrus with pine notes shining through; how could the addictive Blu be anything else but uplifting?

Balsamic , aromatic and really "blue" with peppery accents, it's a very pleasant scent to wear in every season. Quite good sillage .

Shower gel-aquatic like from the textbook. Hints of green, cool spice, silver musk. The sea as a scent illusion. At least it's not crazy sweet!

Italian grapefruit and lemon? Very fleeting, weak aquatic scent that must have something... It's fresh, nothing more.

Very solid scent, but nothing special. Synthetic aquatic freshness that I find wearable. Still rather unobtrusive.

Subtle and restrained freshness. Citrus notes (grapefruit/lemon) are barely noticeable, more lightly spicy. Weak intensity.

Green & fresh at the start. In the heart note, it becomes green-spicy. The base is subtly woody with a hint of musky warmth. Great for spring.

Aquatic freshness with a slightly spicy undertone, unfortunately lacking recognition and presence. The best part is the great blue bottle.

Smells like 3-in-1 Fresh Sport shower gel, color "blue", birch scrub, foot deodorant. Just really basic and unexciting as a men's fragrance.
