Not redundant to the EdT
When the Nero came out, I was immediately intrigued and it went straight into observation. Unfortunately, the price was a bit high at first and I had to/wanted to wait. Today the time had come, it arrived and was tested immediately. I'll pass on my impressions here. I was a little worried that it would be too similar to the EdT. I can reassure anyone who is hesitant to buy it because of this. The fragrances are different enough to have both. The EdT is brighter, sweeter and fruitier, and fits well in spring and summer. This one, I see more in the colder seasons. Maybe not in the thickest winter, but it will certainly do well in the fall. The basic DNA is noticeable, but much darker and spicier. Initially, the two are similar, with the differences mentioned above, but then diverge further and further.
As the fragrance progresses, it becomes increasingly woody and the sweetness becomes more muted, whereas the EdT remains sweet and fruity.
The vanilla then joins in and pleasantly softens the woody notes. I would almost say that vanilla sticks resemble the fragrance somewhat later on.
I find the Nero very well-rounded and really well done.
I also think it radiates better than the EdT. I'll write about the longevity later.
For all those who like this DNA but want it a little stronger and darker for colder days, it's worth a test. I love the Roma DNA and haven't found it like this before. So I'm really happy about the release. Now I have a Roman for cold and warm days.
