elegant and mature beauty
I still fondly think of one of my first "adult" fragrances:
With "Sortilège" in its original form, I stood out from my classmates; I enjoyed carrying this bottle, back then we really called it a "fläschchen," carefully sealed in my school bag and showing it off.
(Let me be forgiven for that as a young thing!)
Because at that time, it was important for schoolgirls and especially teenagers not to blend in with the crowd. That dreary uniformity came later.
Like Turandot, I was so proud of this scent and still remember it fondly today.
But of course, even back then, "Sortilège" was far too grown-up for a teenager, despite all the pride and great enthusiasm.
And how mature "Sortilège Elixir" is in comparison!
Turandot gave me a sample, and so I can float on this magnificent cloud of fragrance time and again, feeling enveloped in rich warmth.
"Sortilège Elixir" presents a large basket filled with the most delightful spring flowers right from the start, shining in perfect harmony, supported by aldehydes.
What splendor it contains: The delicately fragrant daffodils, which love to dance in the spring breeze, bow slightly before stepping back for the most wonderful ripe clusters of lilac, which in turn shortly thereafter kindly makes way for the cheeky, much-loved lily of the valley with its very well-balanced, herbaceous, unique scent.
This flirts with the herb-fresh-spicy mimosa flower balls, while already casting a glance at the white jasmine, with its sensually rich and mature scent trails.
For here opens a floral chypre-typical heart note, for which the majestic ladies rose and iris gladly present their finest aromas and take their most expressive fragrant pose.
Although noble and proud, they know that their true beauty only shines when complemented by their floral sisters.
Thus, they lovingly allow themselves to be embraced by the yellow ylang-ylang flowers on long tendrils, which in turn flirt with jasmine: How they would love to entwine with him to form fragrant garlands!
In "Sortilège Elixir," the top and heart notes have found each other in the most elegant way, exuding floral feminine beauty before completely surrendering to the base notes, which are already ready to offer them a refined fragrance foundation.
For however new this creation may be, it remains connected to the laws of chypre fragrance classics.
Thus, the sensually erotic scents of moist earthy vetiver and noble sandalwood must not be missing, over which a warm, smoke-laden veil of labdanum, musk, and amber with refined animalic notes hovers.
They form a warm, yet transparently woven net that envelops all these expertly and lovingly combined fragrance notes from the traditional house of Le Galion, creating the luminous and simultaneously elegant charm of "Sortilège Elixir."
Noble it is, this creation, which is of course also characterized by outstanding sillage and longevity.
In "Sortilège Elixir," everything that defines tradition and modern love for fragrance unfolds.
Classic elegance appears contemporary yet stylish, reminding us that perfume was and is a luxury, not an item to be disregarded and tossed aside after a short time.
Perfume is often the "dot on the i" that defines us and our day, and reminds us of ourselves, even much later.
That is why the fragrant beauties of the Le Galion brand exude that certain something and should be appreciated as works of art each time, worn consciously yet naturally.
They all deserve it!
