Are we talking about the same fragrance?
Today I received a travel package with the fragrances from Technique Indiscrète. I wasn't familiar with this brand before and I'm very excited about this great opportunity to discover and get to know the scents. The first fragrance sample I tested was Omnipresence. During my first test in the afternoon, I didn't look at the fragrance pyramid or the comments about it. For me, the scent started off citrusy fresh. I smelled grapefruit. But not a sharp fruit, rather a pleasant, sweet grapefruit. However, the citrus note faded after a short time and the fragrance remained fruity but also subtly sweet. I smell orange with vanilla and another fruit, I guess it's pear. I find this scent really pleasant, yes, truly beautiful.
I let my husband sniff it on my wrist and he also thinks it smells really good. And that means something coming from him.
So, I just took a quick look at the comments to see how the fragrance is rated and perceived. Oh dear, no one seems to be particularly enthusiastic and everyone smells something completely different than I do. Lily of the valley in overabundance, for example. I really don't like lily of the valley at all. But I don't smell any. I'm starting to doubt whether I tested the same fragrance as everyone else here. In the evening, I test it again. But it's just like the first time. I like the scent just as much again. There's nothing unpleasant, intrusive, or sharp about it. Just a cuddly, fruity-vanilla sweetness. Delicious! The sillage is also not extraordinarily overpowering, rather subtle.
I want to stand up for this fragrance, even if my predecessors find it so terrible; for me, it could move in and we would even become friends.

There’s a reason why pears aren’t ripe in May!
As soon as I applied Omnipresence, a pear note hit my nose, and it was quite massive. At the same time, it had something penetrating and sweet that real pears don’t have.

In contrast to the pear note, this artificial penetrance remains persistent, and artificial lily of the valley notes join in as well. Just imagine: fruit puree, sweet, adorned with lily of the valley (calling it bells would be a gross understatement). I thought only uuaaaaaaaaaah, what on earth were they thinking with this concoction! Even fans of lily of the valley might find these artificial bells unbearable.

I only just read EP's comment - if I had done that earlier, I would have surely skipped this test!

Sure, there are various other "bad" perfumes, but this "creation" tops everything I’ve encountered so far!

Omnipresent is not an exaggeration!
Ah yes, how I rejoiced when I first applied the fragrance. A funny fruity and somehow unusual top note practically jumped out at me. Well, it did seem somewhat artificial, but more in an eccentric way, like CdG.

But before I knew what was happening to me, the fruit was gone and the perfume underwent a transformation, heading towards the dreadful.

Almost without warning, there it was, this all-destroying, all-consuming, and above all omnipresent, yes omnipotent lily of the valley note. This mega-monster lily had a slight gasoline touch in the dry down, which I had never experienced in such a way before. Fascination and horror are indeed sometimes closer together than one might think.

So I waited hour after hour, with the floral monster on my arm, hoping that the situation would eventually soften.

After about two hours, the last glimmer of hope was washed away by a lot of laundry detergent musk. Wash?! The remedy for bad odors!

During the first test, I held out until the last fragrance molecule, and I can tell you, it felt like an eternity (traces of lily of the valley were still detectable the next morning). For the second and what I consider my final test, I simply was not strong enough to submit to this explosive floral power. I will forgo the obligatory third test.

Lily of the valley perfumes are inherently a matter of personal taste, but for this creation, one probably needs a true passion for the inconspicuous little flower.

For me, it's the olfactory reproduction of a squeaky sweet pear fruit candy - it makes me want to eat one right away :)

The scent is so quirky that it’s actually original: a loud, synthetic pear note is soon followed by a metallic-floral base!

Canned fruit salad with the aforementioned fruits. It develops into a mealy half of canned pears soaked in sugar water with flowers in the hair.

Strange little fruits, with a synthetic touch!
May is ringing loudly! Just a dab, and the whole apartment smells!
Not for me!

Sweet juicy pear carried by apple on soft iris with extremely delicate lily of the valley. This is how the Garden of Eden smells - fresh, cheerful, clean.

Initially a bit biting fruity. In the surprising progression, creamy-soft, fresh, and clean. Lily of the valley is only very subtle.

I smell tulips, along with leaves and floral water. There's fruit too - it could be pears, but I'm not sure. Strange and sweet.

To me, it smells wonderfully delicious like pears, and later a subtle, delicate musk comes in. No flowers show up for me.

Pears, tart rhubarb, half-blooming lily of the valley. It's quite a jumble here.

Ripe pear on a slice of pineapple in a lily of the valley bed. A touch of vanilla added. Quirky, unusual but somehow good.
