Time to drool!
… oh, where are my manners, I should of course greet you first! So good evening everyone and blah blah… you know how it is :D
So then, once again: Time to drool! Oh yes, now you can already guess that I must be introducing a sweet and delicious fragrance, if you didn't already have that thought while reading my title. Because today I'm talking about "Angelo Di Fiume" by Linari, a brand I personally wasn't familiar with (but you surely are, as you are the all-knowing freaks as always! :D).
The name of the fragrance translates to "Angel of the River"... for whatever reason,... however, this scent already smells divine, at least when it comes to sweet and delicious fragrances that make you want to run to the kitchen to grab something sweet while sniffing. The fruit bowl with all the healthy fruit is of course ignored, unless you dip the fruit in a chocolate fondue.
Well, is your mouth watering yet? Then just wait for the scent description :DD
The Scent:
The fragrance starts immediately with an intense caramel note that reminds me of fairground or Christmas market stalls filled with all sorts of sweets, like those glazed apples that can break your teeth, or delicious caramel candies (especially from the brand "Riesen"), which can pull out dental fillings… hmm… all this sweet stuff really seems to be bad for the teeth, who would have thought?? :D
Another intense note is vanilla, which gives the fragrance a strongly sweet but also softly powdery note. Oranges are present in the background, and I can smell light, general woody notes.
Some say that you can also smell cherries well here, but I couldn't detect any cherries. At least not directly. With a bit of imagination, you can make out a very slight, liqueur-like note that seems to mix a bit with chocolate, along with light fruity notes, so that you might think of Mon Cherie. By the way, I also find that very delicious… but it doesn't last long, as you can soon smell mostly vanilla and caramel again.
Resinous notes like benzoin give the fragrance a nice, gentle side that fits very well with the sweet notes. Everything smells so delicious, sweet, chocolaty, but without being sticky or overwhelming.
Much later, it somehow smells like nice pastries, like cookies and similar… and a little later it only smells of powdery sweet vanilla. A very beautiful fragrance!
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is initially good, so it is easily detectable. After a not too long while, however, it weakens a bit and becomes rather mediocre,… well, a bit better than that, which means it is still detectable, but now from a slightly greater distance. The longevity is enormous, as the fragrance (or rather the vanilla in it) was still quite noticeable on my arm the next morning. So in my opinion, it can definitely last a whole night!
The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical, flat, and black, making it look a bit like a hockey puck :D It has the name of the fragrance and the brand in golden letters on it, which creates a nice contrast to the dark bottle. The brown cap is also cylindrical and made of wood, which gives the overall impression a more high-quality appearance. A beautiful bottle.
Sooo…
So? Are you still drooling or already snacking? :D
I have coffee sitting on my table. Normally, I would have probably drunk the coffee quite normally without any sweets on the side, as I don't always snack on cookies or biscuits with it (except during Christmas time, when I eat even more sweets than usual). But now I have a small box of those delicious chocolate-covered sticks here! No, not Mikado, but something similar and also very tasty! I just can't always resist such things, so I'm glad I don't have to test such delicious fragrances every day.
So, if anyone thinks that this fragrance just smells of sweets, I can reassure you, as the fragrance is indeed very sweet and delicious, but also comes off as perfumey and thus is definitely wearable, unlike fragrances that smell purely of chocolate, for example. Therefore, this fragrance is mainly intended for going out, preferably in autumn and winter, as it leaves a somewhat wintry impression as described. In terms of scent, I find it very feminine, so I think it might suit men a little less well.
It is definitely recommendable, but maybe not for those who are sometimes weak-willed and immediately need to grab something to snack on when they smell such fragrances, as otherwise the cravings can drive you crazy :D
And with that, I'm at the end again and wish you all a lovely evening :)
