Flower clouds and cotton candy - light summer gourmand with a clear message

Magnolias in spring are always a very special feast for the eyes.
The huge purple-white flowers with a soft pink shimmer in the center.
They always fade quickly, but the short time is worth it.

The magnolia in Aura White Magnolia is not a fast bloomer, in fact it is quite long-lasting, contrary to the flower dream that often blooms so soon.
When I read the statements and reviews here, I was briefly put off. Pure vanilla without anything would have made me regret my blind buy from the great Machica, a dear perfumer here.
But the offer was too tempting and the 8.1 in combination with the fragrance notes too good not to give it a try.
Fortunately, I would like to say!

The fragrance starts with a pleasantly unsynthetic floral note. I'm not familiar with magnolia fragrances, but it smells white and beautiful. A little tangy note in between makes Aura White Magnolia just exciting enough to keep it from being banal, but still keeps it in that perfect, not-too-much continuum between florals, sweetness and freshness.

Are there actually any fresh gourmands?
If not - this one would qualify for me because, despite the cotton candy-infused vanilla, it is not oppressive or too sultry.
The progression is quite linear but I have a feeling of wafting. Sometimes the sugar and vanilla hit me, sometimes the yuzu, sometimes the blossom, as if these notes were circling around me. Perfectly combined and yet clearly distinguishable.

I'm currently testing it at an outside temperature of 8 degrees, but I can also imagine the fragrance in spring or early summer.

Plus the price, which you really can't complain about, and a neat bottle - what more could you want!
I think it also makes a great gift for people who like it sweet, but not too sweet.
