My last review...
...is actually over two years ago...and I actually have neither the time nor the muse to sit down and write about it...but this one deserves a review from me. Most of you don't like fig scents, I can't relate but well...live and let live *laughs*...I on the other hand LOVE fig scents and I've sniffed my way through a few the last few years, but this one is the best of them all...why? Because it has the most authentic fig I've ever smelled in a perfume.
Already when spraying on you can smell the fig...green, fresh, light-footed tangy (probably by the currant)...but that does not stay so...after a few minutes join cocoa and honey and a mü cinnamon...cocoa and cinnamon I know...cinnamon with honey I also already know...but cocoa, honey and cinnamon is a daring combination yet incredibly successful in this case. At this point, the fragrance also reminds me a bit of Sorriso by Profumum Roma. While the Sorriso but crushes you in his chocolate embrace and is a 1A canditate for headaches, Methexis manages the trick to leave the fig "green", but still sweet and powdery to emphasize. After a while I also smell the cedar out, which was very well integrated, but just so much a spiciness lets through, that this fragrance actually remains unisex...would he be more strongly dosed, I would want to smell him rather on a man.
In the course, so in the drydown I perceive the musk, benzoin and amber and always in the background the fig, which pulls a tail of tart cocoa with it...
The fragrance has no monster sillage but also does not belong to the wallflowers...so just right for my taste...Durability loose eight hours, then body close. Towards the end I smell on my skin only the vanilla and amber with a weng honey...
Seasonally I see the now in autumn and winter...hm...I'll dare to try it on a really cold day with Sorriso to layer, if I survive the combination, I'll tell you about it *g*
Manos Gerakinis has awakened in me the desire to test more fragrances from him...I'll keep an eye on...
Oh yes...here's a little fun fact of mine...I love the smell of figs, but I don't like to eat them....*laugh*
