Mexx Black For Her (And A Bit For Him, Too)
Mexx Black is a light, unisex scent, spicy but in a good way. Mexx opens up smelling a bit like whiskey (briefly), than a clearly noticeable lotus emerges and is quickly joint by amber, vanilla and sandalwood. I don't smell any other flower notes, but what I smell is pleasant. The dry down is a soft, almost powdery vanilla, layered with lotus and amber.
It's not a floral-girly scent but rather a spicy and sexy scent -IF you like scents with a unisex character-.
The silage is good, but like most scents it's depending on how generous you spray. Longevity is about 3-4 hours. I will use this bottle but I will not repurchase, mainly because I'm not a big fan of unisex-scents. For those who are, this one is pleasant and mellow powdery.

1000 times touched...
Today, the Ruhrpark shopping center invited us to a Sunday sale.
Driving there on such days is only for black belts!
By the time I finally parked my bike, my nerves were in tatters.

So first, a quick visit to the perfume department.

What did my tired eyes discover - once again?
Mexx Black was cheekily sitting on the shelf, winking at me.

I had often consulted the tester - which, however, was living a lonely existence.
Although I liked the scent, I could never take a bottle home.
The fragrance seems to enjoy general popularity!

But today, a phalanx of bottles had lined up behind the tester.
I took another spray:

The opening is indeed dark and bitter - through ginger blossom and marigold - lychee and blackcurrant also add a fruity bitterness.
Very appealing.
The sun rises with delicious apricot, juicy pear, and elegant lotus.
The peony blooms fully above it.
Slowly, the light dims again through amber and cedarwood.

An interestingly shifting fragrance that was finally granted to me today.

Despite its dark nuances, black is never heavy, but envelops you like an elegant smoky veil.

A high-quality fragrance experience at an incredibly low price.

Respect!

Pleasant Unobtrusive Everyday Perfume
When I discovered this fragrance in the drugstore in 2011, I was immediately thrilled and have already repurchased it 4 times. The price is really unbeatable, in my opinion. Of course, the longevity is somewhat limited, but that doesn't bother me much, as I often get headaches from overly intense scents. I'd rather spray it on more often than set off a real bomb with a sprayer and have a headache for hours.
But now to the important part: The scent itself. I perceive it as initially sweet, slightly fruity, but the sweetness definitely dominates. Something seems to tame this sweetness, perhaps the black currant? The sweetness fades (thankfully) quite quickly and becomes creamier. I actually perceive the apricot and pear. However, more as a kind of creamy mousse rather than fresh fruit. The slightly powdery and creamy scent is what you notice last before the fragrance essentially disappears completely. The amber notes are definitely noticeable, perhaps slightly vanillic and still a bit bitter - probably due to the sandalwood. I actually thought sandalwood would be my absolute nemesis in perfumes, as I often get headaches from scents that contain sandalwood. Either it's due to something else or the specific combination or amount. I will probably never find out.
The fact is: I really like Mexx Black Woman and can see myself wearing it well in everyday life. Recently, however, I've noticed that I don't like wearing it as much in warm weather. Maybe because the heat intensifies the sandalwood?! For me, it remains a scent for transitional seasons. I find it perfect in spring and autumn! It is definitely worth tossing it into the basket on your next shopping trip and bringing it home.

He was just there
I can't describe the scent any other way than with the title line. I had imagined something completely different with the dark bottle. Riper and more elegant. But the test told me that a beautiful bottle doesn't necessarily have to contain a beautiful fragrance.

The beginning is very delicate and light with hardly recognizable notes. A bit of everything and a bit too little. The fruity notes are faintly present before it moves on to floral hints. Then come the usually quite dominant notes of amber, cedarwood, and sandalwood. But even those are only minimal. Everything feels a bit girlish for a confirmand. But she must be quite romantic to appreciate something so delicate.

The longevity was whoosh... and gone. After about a quarter of an hour, it was no longer detectable. This even surpassed the new scents from Uncle Yves' descendants. They at least last for 20 minutes.

Subtle and feminine, with slight masculine touches.
While Christmas shopping in a perfume store, I received a sample of Mexx Black Woman and tested it a few days later, without any great expectations.
The first impression is a true bombardment of lychee, which initially put me off a bit. Quite quickly, however, it transforms on my skin into a gentle, pleasantly warm, and sweet fragrance, from which the woody, bitter notes occasionally shine through. This ensures that the scent does not drift too much into the girlish territory.
My conclusion: Not a show-stopping perfume, but a lovely subtle scent for everyday wear and any season.

Actually a very beautiful,
graceful and mysterious scent,
with certain flashbacks...
No H/S,
but cheap ;)

Distinct lychee, nestled in a smoky base, full-bodied, fruity, mysterious. H+S is great for an EdT from the drugstore, perfect winter scent.

An absolute drugstore treasure, it doesn't need to hide! A bit herbal, oriental-sweet, slightly dark, elegant!

A solid everyday scent that unfortunately is a bit weak and fades quickly. It radiates freshness and neatness with a slight fruitiness.

Sorry, when applied it just smells like shallow floral dish soap. Cheap mix, no scent development, no longevity. A big no.

My summer night scent... Doesn't smell like it looks, but I love wearing it in the evening towards night. Fresh, fruity, and light.

BWs "Schwarz" has been completely washed out and lacks both intensity and clarity. After 10 minutes, only apricot and ginger remain.

Freshly showered on a lotus flower throne. Just as it sprays, it stays. Very linear, a bit mundane, yet pleasant.

Ginger-fresh little flowers. Becomes creamy on my skin. A reminder of late teenage years.

A scent for a younger audience. But absolutely not bad. Delicious apricot wrapped in vanilla.
