Well ... not bad

I must honestly say, to my own surprise: Really not bad for the price, I wouldn't have thought so.

Mexx EDTs are usually not that great, at least as far as I can judge, but this one lasts quite well, is pleasantly fresh and fruity, and a bit unisex, by the way.

The term "hidden gem" is somewhat "overused" these days, but if you like light fruity summer scents that are not intrusive and suitable for everyday wear, then I would at least recommend testing it in the drugstore.

Please don't expect miracles, on the other hand, but you can definitely throw a tenner over the counter for it without regretting it later ...

A Bit of Chem for the Summer Pleaseeeee

The first whiff nearly burned my brain out, so caution! It starts fresh, but not super fresh like an aquatic. Sweet, fruity. Instead of mandarin, it's more of an orange-mandarin-green apple mix. Rounded off with other stuff like cinnamon, etc.
The fact is, it doesn't smell particularly complex or very natural. This is a chemical bomb, but a great one. It fits the scent and weakens over time. After 15 minutes, I briefly worried about the cinnamon note, but that was quickly a thing of the past. The overall picture just fits. On my skin, fruity freshies in the drydown don't often work, but here it works great. I really like the fruity notes combined with earthy nuances. Nevertheless, there are also drawbacks. If you're not into synthetics, this is not for you. If you want a varied progression, this is not for you. If you want to stand out super much, this is not for you. There is a sillage, but the radiance in connection with the longevity is manageable, settling in the average range. I appreciate that it doesn't smell like every other freshie, and even though it is simple and synthetic, it somehow has a special spiciness that normally doesn't fit a summer fragrance. The spiciness reminds me of some Tom Ford scent, where it smells somewhat similar but not as fruity; unfortunately, I can't recall which one it was :/. I also like the bottle.

So is it the craziest stuff in the world, the non plus ultra? No!
