What is Summer Oud? That's what I asked myself... an explosion of sweet, tropical, mature notes that gives way to a very strong, very incisive oud.
An oud that looks fresh thanks to the opening notes, but then goes back to being itself.
This is perhaps what it is trying to tell us. Such an important and appreciated note can be combined with various notes, but then its beauty lies in its essentiality.

Good vibes

Very fruity opening, mainly I feel the banana and raspberry.
It reminds me so much of my beloved Ziguli candies that I bought as a child in the pharmacy.
Just a moment and the nice fruity aromas disappear and give way to a sumptuous Rose / Oud accord made slightly more earthy and moist by the cypriol oil.
A hint of jasmine also emerges well on the skin, made slightly spiced by cumin.
Then, as if from the abyss, the fruity note rises again, but I feel it different: it is more creamy and round, seductive! The fruit mixes with amber and opoponax going to dampen the oud, making it a perfume that is not only delicious but also very portable.

Matos takes an overly abused agreement in perfumery and distorts it, revolutionizes it and makes it with him; the result is for sure a surprising scent!

And this fragrance gives exactly that feeling, which I simply HAD to order blindly because the fragrance pyramid reads so wonderfully and crazily. Mr. Matos has achieved the squaring of the circle with this scent: Oud & Summer. And the fragrance is indeed wonderful and crazy, making you want to either dance down Leopoldstraße or lie in the grass in the English Garden.

The scent opens with a powerful dose of Cypriol, Opoponax, and Oud. Quite intense, and I asked myself for 40 seconds whether summer would ever arrive here... It will! The aromatic trio is soon joined by a multivitamin jam, where pineapple, banana, and coconut frolic - nothing sticky-sweet but fruity-fresh. It blends surprisingly well with the Oud, making it light, fruity, and yes, somehow "high." The Oud recedes a bit after about 45 minutes, not much, but just enough for the fruity components to come more to the forefront, carried by the Oud. The fragrance remains like this for several hours, fading gently after a long 8 - 9 hours. On clothing, it lasts much longer.
I perceive the fragrance as unisex, and in its mood, it is excellent for all sunny days over 20 degrees. Sillage is very nice, not too loud but by no means too quiet.

A fragrance for dancing, being cheerful, in a buoyant summer mood - I find it incredibly successful.
