Musk,
Yes, that's right, my title here has a comma after the musk, because the fragrance is called in,
I can't explain the name, but with in, you get a wonderful scent with musk and amber notes.

The scent:
The fragrance has a strong alcoholic opening, which quickly settles down. Immediately after, the sweet musk comes in and creates a pleasant scent. A little later, the amber emerges in the background.
In the heart note, citrus notes like bergamot and lime are supposed to be noticeable. It is somewhat citrusy, but the sweet notes from the top note still dominate and overshadow the heart note, so the citrus notes radiate from the background.
In the base, it remains sweet with slightly spicy accents. I think it is a combination of musk, amber, and resin, along with probably dried fruits, which together create a wonderful and warm scent.

Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is about six hours, maybe a little more or less; that's always the problem with scents that don't project very strongly, which brings me to the sillage.
Unfortunately, the sillage is low, which is a shame for well-scented perfumes. This fragrance is neither room-filling nor will it leave a large scent trail. At least it is not too close to the body.

The bottle:
The bottle with the thick glass bottom looks more functional than beautiful. It is small, rectangular, and has a more than simple label (as if it were created with Paint...) with the name and brand of the fragrance on it. It also has a tall, gray cap. Everything is very unremarkable. That the manufacturer can do better is evident from the bottle-like flacons of some other fragrances from this brand.

in, (a strange fragrance name, isn't it?) from Miller et Bertaux, I hadn't known until now, or rather, I don't know Miller et Bertaux yet, but I really like this scent here. A sweet, very pleasant, and warm fragrance with light, fresh notes in between (which, however, quickly fade away), but unfortunately also with a really low sillage.

I would describe in as an all-rounder, even though it seems far too weak for winter. Nevertheless, it can be used as both an "office" scent and a "home comfort" scent, suitable for both women and men.

Despite the low sillage, I would recommend giving it a try.

Forest Worker Woman
When I wore "in" today, pleasant images arose within me from the time when I lived in the beautiful Sauerland.

Our property included several hectares of the most beautiful Sauerland forest, which I loved to roam with my three little dogs.

If you walked cheerfully and not cautiously, you would occasionally see graceful deer standing in the clearings, looking at you shyly but with interest.

The dogs walked obediently at my side, so as not to startle them.

I love and respect the forest, which naturally also needs to be maintained.

In early winter, thinning was on the agenda, and I eagerly offered my help.
Then the felled trunks were stripped of their bark with a peeling tool.
My husband coolly handed me such a forestry instrument and let me work with it.
So I toiled with my 45 kg body weight among muscular, sturdy forest workers, who let me work with a smile, but were impressed.

"That's life as a forest worker woman!" they joked with me, laughing.
But I found working with the wood in the snowy landscape absolutely delightful.

The snowy air was fresh and somehow citrusy, and the trees exuded their full resin scent.
Steaming ginger tea was served from the thermos, and the late autumn fruit scent still wafted over from the meadows, even though it had already snowed quite a bit.
The trees stretched their branches protectively over me, providing me with a sense of security.
This scenery captured "in" perfectly.

When the sun set in pink between the treetops, you made your way home, pleasantly tired and hungry - looking forward to the next busy day in the familiar and cozy forest.

spicy cuddly scent
I stumbled upon Miller et Bertaux In by chance, it simply came with an order. Upon first sniff, I found it quite pleasant, but I didn't have time for a proper test, so I made up for that today and here are my impressions.

The opening comes across as directly spicy and fresh. Probably the cedar combined with bergamot; I can't directly identify the lime.

This impression is very pleasant, not too sharp, just slightly sweet. I wish it would last longer, but then amber quickly takes over and becomes more pronounced. The amber stands alone on stage for me for a short time but then immediately brings more sweetness. The transition is really very quick. There's no long scent development. All of this lasts no longer than 10 minutes. Then it shifts a bit again.

What I smell now I can't quite categorize; at first, I thought ginger, but I believe it's more the dried fruits. Tentatively. But these fruits could have used more sun; the sweetness is very restrained and still holds onto the amber a bit. The freshness from the opening is now very subdued.

An hour later... warm, slightly spicy amber remains where it is and is very pleasant. I no longer smell any dried fruits; I can't yet explain where the slight spiciness comes from; perhaps it's really the cedar that stubbornly holds on, but unfortunately, I still lack a point of comparison. ALzD mentions something about kumbaru. Maybe that’s it??

I find the scent unobtrusive and cuddly. The sillage isn't overwhelming, but when I move my wrist, I can still catch whiffs of it. So I would say it's clearly detectable within about a meter around me. I would assign it slightly more to a man than a woman due to this spicy undertone, but I still find it good on myself.

Is it a candidate for purchase for me? Yes, definitely, but with a small reservation; if I want something cuddly warm, I would prefer Chergui by Lutens at that price, which is a bit stronger, more complex, and somehow reminds me of In in a lighter version, so to speak.
So, it has no edges or corners, and this scent probably doesn't want to clash either.

Edit: By now, I like "In" more and more. Especially now that it’s warmer, I clearly prefer it over the previously mentioned Chergui. I think I might treat myself to it in the long run :-).

My thought: Good mood, summer evening, Sauvignon Blanc, grilled sea bream, and yes, of course, the company with this scent. Top!

first very bitter, probably from the alcohol, it fades away quickly, then very sweet, almost "rum-like", warm, resinous, spicy

Delicately spicy, subtle yet with some endurance and noticeable presence. A hint of sweetness from amber and dried fruits - I like it!

Citrusy, fresh, woody, a bit of sandalwood and more wood. Cedar and elemi resin are probably the main scents, slightly synthetic.
