Sent me on vacation...
...this fragrance did.
I found the top note a bit chaotic, somewhat musty, definitely a lot of papaya in it, which I don't like. Once again, an amazing scent. I don't know what's wrong with my nose, but I can't smell any coffee. A lot of rose, patchouli, woody notes, and just a tiny bit of vanilla.

This fragrance sent me on vacation because it overall smells a bit like oriental markets. I think Izmir can definitely be categorized in the oriental corner. However, I'm slowly starting to wonder about the scents from N.M., whether they can really be used for perfuming. I think I would be busy all day with my wrist because the fragrances compel you to constantly sniff them.

Oh dear, oh dear!! Poor Apicius
Somehow, the Neil Morris fragrances strike me as little whirlwinds in the opening. The fruity notes swirl around, quite refreshing and pleasant. But I can't perceive any coffee on my skin at all.

What occasionally dares to emerge, but already in the second phase of development, is patchouli, chased by something powdery-floral. At first, one might almost think it’s iris, but it becomes stronger. The geranium combined with rose is such a wonderful thing that I have to take a sniff of it from my wrist again and again. Somehow, this accord seems familiar to me... I just can't quite say where it's from. I mean, not geranium, but marigold is allied with the rose, and one of my roll-on perfumes from Kim Weisswange has these notes in it. I will have to revisit those little beasts.

But back to Izmir. The oud is used very sparingly, just like the vanilla. After about 2 hours, I can still smell this wonderfully powdery heart note. Let's see what my hand says tomorrow morning.

Once again, I hold the skin texture responsible for these different sensations. I give Izmir a clear YES.

Coffee and Patchouli
Very nice coffee perfume.

A beautiful, rounded coffee note, rounded off with a hint of vanilla. This is combined with a very strong amount of patchouli oil. The patchouli gives it a darker character. Good idea! This combination makes sense!

Unfortunately, I get headaches from natural patchouli oil when it is present in such quantities as here. Therefore, this scent is rather not for me.

Artificially fruity gum projectile. NiMo makes kids happy and adults... not!

Café in Izmir in the early morning: steaming Turkish coffee, fruit on the table, the sound of the sea in the background: that's how the day should start.

Fig- coffee latte infused with orange juice, slanted. Minty sharpness, soapy geranium added, a spoonful of seawater, now I'm feeling a bit dizzy!

Floral spicy coffee with half a sugar cube for sweetness. A hint of spices adds that special touch. The rest doesn't matter.

Spiced with geranium and vanilla, a darker Turkish coffee, with slight floral-metallic hints over a warm-soft heart.
