A Mossy-Floral-Woody Mystery...
And once again, my nose and I have the honorable task of dedicating a letter of appreciation to a nearly unknown perfume. Not so easy to discern the details with such a complex scent. Here I stand before a fragrant mystery. There are citrus fruits at play - especially at the beginning. It has the appearance of a Fougére, which then adorns itself with all sorts of unsweetened flowers. First choice: spicy cloves and roses. In the background: a hint of jasmine, possibly ylang-ylang. Then almost woody undertones. Woods (sandalwood? cedar?) compete with green notes. Ferns (although ferns don't really have a significant scent)... but the initial impression of a Fougére is now fully confirmed. Meanwhile, oakmoss and vetiver are added. Probably also a bit of patchouli. I recognize oakmoss immediately as soon as REAL is present. The same goes for the sandalwood, which now fully unfolds its woody, velvety, dark and light aromas. The overall impression suggests a long-lasting, well-projected "unisex" scent, even though it is supposed to be a "women's perfume" according to the above classification. The initial mystery is now at least largely unraveled. And scents, as we know, have no gender! The main thing is that a perfume pleases the respective "noses" that use it. A small final note: An olfactory transition from the 1980s to the 1990s. Although more 80s, a touch of the 1970s is also present. A mystical nose puzzle - but super good!! :-))
