North Bondi OUAI 2018

I purchased a travel spray after having used an liked the leave in conditioner. The leave in is too strong to wear any other scent with, so I figured I'd lean in. I didn't like the scent of the conditioner originally, but it grew on me.
Maybe I'm too influenced by the name, but I do think "beach" when i smell it. Not literal beach, but it smells like the kind of girl who spends a lot of time at the beach. It smells confident.

I fell in love with the scent of Ouai’s wave spray at first spritz so when I realized they made an actual perfume I snatched up a travel size. At first I loved it but over time I found that the woody notes overpowered the scent for me and it felt more sharp, almost like hairspray (albeit a great smelling one). I still think it’s a great, reasonably-priced scent that definitely gives a clean feel, like you’re freshly showered and used great smelling products and is great for hot and humid summer days.

My favorite scent of the week is North Bondi! Light and fresh, a great citrus daytime scent. The sillage isn’t too strong, but I enjoy wearing fragrances like this one to bed, where it’s not needed. The longevity is about four hours for me. The price is great for what you get, although I’ve only used up a sample bottle. It’s definitely on my wish list!

I thought that the raspberry and the lemon were the most prominent notes in this, I could maybe pick out the violet if I tried really hard. It reminded me very, very much of pink lemonade which tween me would have lost her mind over. The scent is present but not overpowering and I could see lots of people liking this.

North Bondi is the quintessential "Fresh out of the shower" scent. The apple blossom in the opening offers a soft, fresh floral feel while the bergamot provides a beautiful sparkle that makes you feel refreshed, alive, and awake. The heart of the perfume is a powdery floral, but there is a "fresh" element that lasts throughout the entire duration of wear that is just so comforting. The musk and sandalwood in the dry down are definitely there, but mostly in the background. This is a fresh and clean floral with powdery undertones through and through. I can see why someone would interpret this as "citrus" but I don't find that to be the main vibe. Like most of Ouai's scents, this perfume SCREAMS clean girl aesthetic. But there is also a bit of a edgy, cool-girl vibe to this as well. The projection and sileage are decent, but the longevity is just average. You'll get a solid two to three hours - as expected. But you really can't beat $64. This is the perfect affordable fresh and clean perfume range.

Overall, you can't really go wrong here, it's totally inoffensive. For the price, this is a 10/10 for me. The perfect everyday perfume!
