Just like the old soap opera
To be fair, I got this sample as a birthday freebie from Sephora. Otherwise I wouldn't have even tried it. I've noticed that fragrances that are labeled as "sparkling" or "champaign" smell very dated to my nose. There is something familiar about this fragrance, like a general department store type smell.

It is very floral in a generic way. I can't detect many of the notes mentioned here. I just smell a sharp bouquet of several kinds of flowers and perhaps a hint of citrus. Reminds me of things my. mom wore in the 90s.

Fruity/floral shampoo Ouai product
If you've used Ouai products, you know how it smells. One of the most realistic shampoo to perfume product I've smelled (even more than the Oribe and Moroccanoil ones).

It's a fruity/floral shampoo kind of fragrance with an emphasis on the rose fruity freshness. The beginning is all about the tangy, sweet litchi and berries with a slightly sour, fizzy note coming from the champagne. It's like a burst of energizing fruitiness. As it mvoes on, I start getting the roses and the peonies as sweet and fruity florals. Bergamot offers a refreshing twist, keeping it from going too heavy. Didn't get the rest of the florals. Drydown becomes warmer with time as a woodiness starts to emerge followed my the usual shampoo, musky note.

It's a lovely fragrance if you already love Ouai products that use Melrose Place as a fragrance. Perfect if you want to smell fresh and clean. It's a like for me, but not a love, which is why it won't be making it into my collection. Easily accessible to sample before buying it!

I would drink it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Yes, I know, I know, it’s a shampoo fragrance. But still, there’s something about it! When the outdoor climate starts feeling oppressively hot and muggy, I crave this scent like I crave air conditioning. Spritzing it on is like sitting down to an outdoor picnic of chilled sparkling rosé and elaborately cut fresh fruit. Clean, musky, bubbly, and juicy. I’m especially fond of how the lychee note comes through—tart and gently sweet without veering into canned syrupy territory.

Would many label this scent as juvenile? Yes. Is this scent the pinnacle of sophistication in perfumery? Most certainly not. But when the juice agrees with my nose I’ve decided it's best not to argue. Also doesn't hurt that it's a decent performer for the price.

In love - but a little goes a long way!
I got this because of the glowing reviews where ever it was discussed and it did not disappoint. This is soapy soap soap - but if you are looking for something like that, a clean smell, a just out of the everything-shower smell, then this is your scent.

The opening is absolutely sparkly with the pepper, the champagne, and indeed a little tart with the lychee. After that, the rose and peony take center stage, but not in an overly floral way - more in a cleaner-than-clean way.

On me, this can be in your face and overpowering, so I need to be very careful not to overspray. It also lasts at least five to six hours. It's beautiful and I love it for summer.

Pleasant Teenager Scent
I was hooked on buying Melrose Place by the dry shampoo from Ouai with the same scent that was gifted to me.
I was running late for a meeting with a friend and quickly sprayed it in my hair for a refresh at the last minute, and I was thrilled by the scent. I had that “this smells like me” moment, but at the time I didn’t know that the corresponding perfume even existed. I stumbled upon it online later and ordered it without much thought. Keep in mind, this was long before my big perfume enthusiasm. When it arrived and I tried it for the first time, I was more than satisfied. Decent longevity and truly faithful to the scent of the dry shampoo. I used it a few times, but then it got forgotten along with the steep increase in my perfume obsession and the rapidly growing number of bottles in my cabinet. After a few months, I smelled it again, and now I feel the urge to gift it to one of my little sisters. I still find the scent nice, but it’s definitely a very good choice for a 14-18 year old. It smells like fun and summer, is unobtrusive, yet has a lovely presence. The scent that the girl in school wears, who is liked by everyone. A great gift for (god)daughters, nieces, little sisters, or other girls in their teenage years. But for those over 20, in my opinion, it’s not much...

Very fresh and clean perfume. Strong and great sillage. I could smell it all day even when I had a stuffed nose from the flu.

It reminds me of a mixture between Clinique Happy and Chloe. Rosy, fresh, citrus, crisp, musky.

The scent reminds me of the smell of Ouai shampoos.
A fresh, rosy, and clean fragrance that is pleasant. But nothing special.

As we would say in Switzerland:
Adorable.
A cute, feminine, floral, and fresh scent. Nothing special but adorable.

The notes sound so promising, but you get an outdated, generic scent that could be from the drugstore. #uninspiring

Smells to me like a doctor or a doctor's office. Very clean. Not bad, but I imagined it to be fruitier/girlier.

Heavily disappointed. Unfortunately, the scent has nothing to do with the atmosphere of Melrose Avenue, but smells like a cheap deodorant. :(

Fresh, clean rose scent with a fruity start. Very youthful. Light hairspray vibes. Not as sparkling as hoped. Summery.

Young, fresh, zesty rose. A light everyday scent, unobtrusive, pleasant, and cheerful.
