Sun Fairy

After falling in love with the masculine part of this fragrance, it is to be expected that I should also like this one. MUST.

Ambre Frais is a wonderfully harmonious sun scent that lovingly embraces brown skin and gives it a slightly warm and soft touch. You are kissed by little angels, with orange blossoms in their hair, who gently approach your mouth for the first time, so that you don’t feel them at first. Apparently, they have indulged in luscious plum wine. Because the breath makes me quite tipsy. Nevertheless, the lips turn ruby red and fill with love. Incredibly beautiful presentation - it brings a hug full of vanilla, beneath which lies a light layer of delicate chocolate that melts on the skin in the sun. But it’s not as warm as one might assume. There is always a hint of freshness, a touch of exuberance over the fragrance. Because the lemon feels plump and joyfully basks under the strong midday sun. A beautiful connection to a delicate layer of orange blossoms, gently embraced by the wind, floating above the wearer as if they naturally belong to him. The scent gently drifts through the day. It allows my weary spirits to rise from the dark cellar into the light. So soft, so close, and so familiar does Ambre Frais feel, that you simply feel connected to it from the very beginning.

The longer the day goes on, the warmer the fragrance becomes, yet it never sinks thickly into the depths. It spreads a cozy warmth that also carries a hint of musk. Musk makes it a touch more sensual and seductive. My husband melts, just like the chocolate, and is more than enthusiastic. A bit of wood and a little spice also find their place - all very well connected and very well done. A radiant scent. A sun fairy tale is being told to me here. Of the highest, friendliest, and loveliest class, without drifting into the "greedy faction"!

Unfortunately, the sillage and longevity are rather lackluster. The little angels should have indulged more in the luscious plum wine.

Nevertheless, it’s one of my favorites for the moments when I want to unleash my happiness hormones. Under the sun. Among people. Against my bad thoughts.

Chocolaté desperately sought!

Recently, an older lady came into our shop. I was just in the stockroom, and when I came out to the shop, it smelled incredibly beautiful and fresh. Of course, I immediately went on a quest to find the source.
Aha, this lady smelled so good! When she was about to leave, I briefly asked her what fragrance she was wearing. She said it was by Mrs. Schlesser and was called Chocolaté. Nothing like heading home and looking it up here.
I found Schlesser. But nothing with Chocolaté!
So I wrote in the forum and asked for help, thanks again, dear ones.
I was sure she had said Schlesser, and I was also certain about Chocolaté, but nothing suitable was found. Helpful members gave me lovely tips, but I still didn’t find it! I searched high and low!!!

So I ordered a decant of a Schlesser fragrance and was immediately sure, no, that wasn’t it. Then there was one left, ordered from the bay, waited, and then it arrived.
Hmm. Similar. But somehow not... I was already a bit desperate because I had bitten down so hard and really wanted to know what that fragrance was.
And on Saturday, on the way home from grocery shopping, I saw the lady walking by the roadside! My husband, who was driving, nearly had a heart attack when I suddenly shouted: haaaaalt an, breeeeemmms! A hectic: "I'll be right back"
and off I went. After the lady.
I called out to her! She stopped and looked at me a bit strangely :)
Did she remember me... no? She had been in our shop recently and smelled so good! Ahhh, now she recognized me. And we chatted a bit, with my husband's exasperated looks in the background. I told her that I had found Schlesser fragrances but none with that name! She giggled so adorably!
And I pulled out my phone and showed her the bottle, and she said: exactly, that’s it!
And I was like: O.O
But it wouldn’t be called chocolaté! And she said: but I can’t speak French, and since it smells so beautifully of chocolate on me, I call it that!
My God, we laughed so much!
I then mentioned that it smelled completely different on me and told her that I had just bought a whole bottle! She laughed so heartily and said she had been wearing the fragrance for hours...
Elbchen, turn on your brain!!! Of course, she doesn’t take the bottle shopping with her and sprays herself in front of the shop door, and of course, she hadn’t freshly sprayed the fragrance! That’s why I didn’t recognize the scent!!
She said she always sprays it half on her skin and half on her clothes; I got to sniff her, and YES! THAT WAS IT!!!
We had such a nice chat; I spontaneously hugged her and got back into the car, and my husband and I had a conversation about scaring the driver to death!

Angel Schlesser. Ambre Frais. So that was the sought-after fragrance!
The top note is so wonderfully fresh and soft, beautiful. Then the heart comes relatively quickly, with a quirky lily of the valley; one spray is completely enough for me, otherwise, it really becomes too much. And the heart note lasts surprisingly long! But the base is a dream, a dream!!! The blend of floral light amber gives the vanilla and chocolate such wonderful depth!!! Certainly also because of the vetiver; I am so in love with this dreamy base note.
The fragrance smells valuable, full, deep, and warm, yet so intimately light, wonderful.

So I have it. My "Chocolaté." The fragrance that was desperately sought and has a completely different name.
However, the scent is the same :)
A wonderful, beautiful fragrance! And thanks to the 150ml bottle, I now have enough material to dream!!!

Sometimes you do things that later turn out to be a blessing. For example, taking a decant of the fragrance. While cleaning the bathroom, it shattered, 1000 shards. I cleaned for an hour - my bathroom still smelled for almost 2 days afterward... :-/

Colorful and wild and full of contrasts

Today I received it and I'm already thrilled! Such a beautiful, soft, citrusy scent with so many fragrance notes that I can hardly describe them all. It’s a "complete package" of ingredients that blend and work together so brilliantly that it’s almost too beautiful to be true.

My association with this fragrance is Sicily! Oh yes, how I wish I were there right now, at this very moment.
Palaces, breathtaking ruins from the time of Greek colonization, and the best tomatoes in the world - Sicily makes the senses explode.
The calls of the vendors at the fish market in Catania. The Etna in pastel, blood orange groves. The scent of swordfish with olives...
An (ancient) farmer puttering along his vineyard with his tractor, uprooting the vines. The reward for the effort is bottled and lovingly enjoyed. The mild air of early summer when the colors and scents explode on the hillside!
A walk to the cathedral square. There, one is caught by a peculiar magic. You sit on the railing of the elephant fountain and watch the colorful hustle and bustle.
You dance among the locals to cheesy songs by Adriano Celentano on Piazza Corrado Cagli - and there, at that very moment, you feel the uniqueness of this island: Everything is Now. Time stands still. The happiness of small things shatters any sense of time, and you want to be generous to the point of recklessness!

Creamy citrus fruits that don’t "bite," simply delicious, refined with a splash of lily of the valley, interwoven with dark brown 60% chocolate. Sprinkled with freshly grated vanilla and glazed with benzoin and vetiver. At the top, a ripe plum. Definitely not unbearably sweet and definitely not a fruit bomb. But it’s as if you’re standing in a chocolate shop, with your eyes closed, taking a deep breath, and the synapses in your nose explode. So delicious you could bite into it!

I'm surprised there hasn't been a review here yet...

A review has been written. The scent is beautiful!!! I had a sample in a swap package, what a stroke of luck, because otherwise I would never have come across this wonderful fragrance. The name Angel Schlesser meant nothing to me until now.
But now to the scent. It has something very clean, fresh, but also aromatic in the top notes, almost like freshly washed laundry, not soapy. You can smell the galbanum and plum the strongest. There’s a bit of an old-fashioned vibe in the top notes, but it disappears quickly. The floral bouquet appears without becoming too overpowering. The scent unfolds and becomes more beautiful, everything fits perfectly together. The chocolate and vanilla gradually join in without becoming too sweet, as the freshness from the top notes remains until the end. Wonderfully balanced. I keep sniffing my arm
The base is then a fusion of all notes, the chocolatey and the galbanum create an amazing base.
The longevity on the skin is about 6-7 hours, on clothes it still smells the next day.
I now want to test much more from Mr. Schlesser, unfortunately, you can't find the fragrances everywhere. In some online shops, you can find them, but unfortunately, you have to order blindly, which doesn't always end happily ;-).
