High Heat Fragrance
This fragrance is perfect on a humid day in the middle of summer. I bought it in Rome to wear for this exact purpose. A special type of magic happens while wearing it on a balmy evening. It's fresh and green without being too stringent or herbaceous. It's got a light, creamy sweetness from the fig leaf and almond milk and a fresh, fruity brightness of a fig.

This scent is pleasant from the opening to the drydown while not sickeningly sweet. I associate it with being outside in a warm climate but it can also easily be a daily scent for running errands or going to the gym. It's an easy-to-wear, likable fig without being boring.

Fig Coconut
A few years ago, fig leaf and coconut randomly met at the fragrance organ.

Fig Leaf: Hello Koko! Have you heard? I'm going to be in a perfume and play a leading role.

Coconut: What!?! You in a perfume? How is that supposed to work? And what is it going to smell like?

F: Well, like fig leaf. Actually more like fig, but it shouldn't be too dominant. That's why I was chosen. Maybe I can put in a good word for you with the perfumer and you'll be in it too...

K: Me? Well, then it's going to be very coconutty, I can tell you that already!

F: It doesn't have to be. Fig leaf and coconut complement each other excellently. Sometimes in a perfume, you can't tell one from the other. Come on, it's going to be a blast!

K: I don't know. It's probably going to be just another muddle. And whether the ladies will like it...?

F: Don't worry! It's planned as a unisex scent. Both women and men can wear it. At least that's what I was firmly promised.

K: Oh, you still believe in the Easter Bunny and that your ancestors were there with Adam and Eve.

F: No, really. It's going to be very serious. We're not alone either. Almond and sandalwood have already confirmed. And bergamot won't miss out either. It's always around and ready for anything. And the best part: a few maritime notes are supposed to provide a little surprise. But shh. That's still a secret.

K: Pah - that old almond... should we eat, drink, or actually smell like all this?

F: When Officina delle Essenze releases it, it's going to be a great perfume. Really niche. You'll see, or rather smell!

K: I can already tell you how it's all going to be! The stuff will be greenish-fresh and, as I know the others, with a slightly synthetic undertone, and as you already said, a scent where you can't tell me apart from you. I've experienced that so many times. It's always the same. A few sniffs and we'll be too much. Even if the longevity is okay - I'm not playing along!

F: What? Why? What's wrong with that?

K: You can ask my neighbor, coconut milk, she's not so picky. It often turns out the same. Have a nice day!

F: Oh, you can visit me at the A ... bend, you cowardly nut!!!

A Slim Fig
Fig scents are "in," especially since the success of Diptyque's "Philosykos," and they have now become part of the popular summer repertoire of perfumers.
They offer us the chance for a dream journey to Mediterranean holiday feelings.
However, they are often too heavy and sweet for the actual summer.
I am especially thinking of the otherwise highly regarded "Ichnusa" in front of me.

“Officina delle Essenze” now presents a somewhat more modern version of a fig scent.
Prominently and powerfully, the scent of the fig leaf is also at the center here, mind you, the leaf that appears greener and crisper than the fruit itself.
Accompanying it are those clean notes that Maurizio Lembo has already made a theme in his other creations from the Puri line.
This skillful combination of clean and fresh notes provides a nice contrast, or balance, and prevents one from drowning completely in the sweet fruit.
Even the well-perceived coconut note does not change this; it does not become too fatty or cocktail-exotic, but adapts wonderfully.

I like this slim fig scent extraordinarily well, and the expected fading of the purely natural essences comes just right for me, because before I have gotten used to the greedy intensity of the figs and it threatens to get on my nerves, it slowly becomes milder and creamier. Nevertheless, I perceive the scent for a solid 4-6 hours.
In my opinion, the new "Puro Fico" is a definite recommendation for the upcoming high summer and makes it onto my wish list.

Mediterranean Dreams in Green
I live with an insatiable longing for the South, but unfortunately, circumstances do not always allow me to leave the Nordic dreariness behind and finally emigrate.
As long as this wish cannot yet become a reality, I indulge in daydreams - What could be more helpful than the right fragrances?
Thus, it came to pass that I wanted to smell all the scents I had stored from my travels at any time. Orange blossoms, herbs, the salty hot air, the markets full of fruits, vegetables, olives.
And the fig tree that stood in the small courtyard of the house in Antibes, where I spent my first vacation on the Côte D'Azur with a friend whose parents own the house.
As soon as we opened the door to the courtyard, the scent of the fruits rushed in. Heavy, fruity-sweet, juicy-sticky. I loved this intoxicating scent.
Years later, I found out that I liked the scent of green, unripe figs, and their wonderfully shaped leaves even more. So I discovered the probably most popular fig scent, Philosykos by Diptyque. But my curiosity for green fig scents is insatiable, and thanks to Daisy, I was able to test Puro Fico.

It starts fresh and quickly takes on a shape that is just as green and wonderful as I had hoped. As long as a fig scent is green enough, I can hardly take my nose off my skin. I have been sniffing around my wrist for hours now and love the warmth in the scent and the slightly woody note.
But where is the coconut that some here smell so prominently? I perceive something milky-creamy that accompanies the green fruit, but much more subtle than coconut. Instead, a warm breeze flows in from the Mediterranean, filled with the saltiness of the sea, passing by hot stone, tree bark, leaves, and coming to rest at the green figs.
The longevity is not bad at all for a fig scent and definitely better than Philosykos. The scent is absolutely unisex and not overpowering.
And since the trip to Italy is already booked, I can add this scent to my list of souvenirs with anticipation.

Salted Figs
I love fragrances with fig notes. The scent of figs is unique, has something wonderful about it, hard to explain, because for me, the fig scent stands out from all other fruity and green notes. Therefore, I really enjoy testing fragrances that contain figs, and I have rarely been disappointed so far. Here, with Puro Fico, you actually find a great and fresh scent for summer, unless you don't like salt.

The scent:
The fragrance begins with a delightful (green) fig, while the coconut also emerges right away, staying just a little behind the fig. It also has something salty about it, somehow reminiscent of vacation; I guess these are the maritime notes being referred to.
From the heart note, the maritime notes become a bit stronger. The coconut weakens slightly and now stays a bit more in the background compared to the fig.
In the base, the coconut becomes even weaker, allowing the salty notes to be best perceived together with the figs. A hint of almond scent is added, although very faint, which soon disappears again.

Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is quite decent for a fig scent, lasting six to eight hours.
The sillage is somewhat weak. Even though the fig is quite prominent at the beginning, the projection later returns to a normal to even below-average level.

The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular with a thick glass bottom and is quite simply designed. The perfume liquid is light/yellowish, the cap is silver and cylindrical. The white and extremely simple label prominently displays "Puro Fico." Everything is just okay, perhaps a bit too simple.

Puro Fico is actually a lovely fig scent with additional notes like coconut and, above all, saltiness. In fact, the salty component is stronger than I expected and might disturb some who prefer to perceive the fig purely as a sweet fruit rather than seeing it combined with these maritime notes. I personally didn't like the scent that much. It's not that I don't like maritime notes, but here they felt a bit too strong for me, and I didn't find them particularly well combined with the fig.
But as I said, everyone has to see for themselves, as it could convey a feeling of vacation for others. Therefore, I would recommend testing this fragrance before purchasing.

By the way, it can be worn equally well by both genders, and the scent is clearly a spring and summer fragrance (of course, I've been talking about vacation and such the whole time…).

A green fig note and a dreadful mix of milky sweetness and aquatic. This is not my world.

Green, juicy figs bathe in creamy almond milk and then dry on sandalwood. Not sweet & absolutely unisex. Vacation vibe.

Green fig, not really fresh. Underneath, a base that initially evokes associations with gym floors. Becomes more harmonious again.

Fresh green fig leaf drowning in coconut saltwater. For me, an unharmonious combination of green + salt.

I find the combination of coconut-fig on one hand & almond on the other very appealing, as it avoids a typical green-citrus scent.
