The scent of Marseille soap.

After an extremely aldehydic and somewhat spicy opening, it evolves within a minute into something very synthetic, musky and spicy green that quickly reminds us of a bar of Marseille soap or a fabric softener with the same scent. It performs quite well for its type of scent. Plus, in case you're still craving more, it comes with a 10ml bottle in case you want to hit it again after eight hours.

Moderate to heavy projection, let's say it's 3/7, 3 hours heavy and quite noticeable and then the rest until it disappears, it becomes moderate.

On a personal note, I have to say that the bottle seems like the biggest piece of crap I've ever had the opportunity to try. When I opened the box, it seemed to be oozing a little from the neck. The spray also mists a lot but doesn't release any product; you have to spray it hard.

In short: Freshly laundered clothes freely available.

Overwhelming Jasmine in the Freshly Mopped Staircase

Dear Luminosa,

As I see you own this perfume. I would like to sincerely thank you for the sample, but I will not write a positive comment and I hope you and all the other lovers of this "fragrance" do not take the following lines too harshly.

Puro Lino does not work at all on my skin! It stinks like hell! But let's take it step by step.

PL has a main theme on my skin that runs through the entire duration, like the foul veil of pestilence. Dish soap, or as it's called in the north, green soap. I exude the scent of a freshly mopped stair step. But that's not all, because PL also has all sorts of fresh ingredients in the cleaning bucket. Along with the mopping water effect, there’s also a pinch of verbena, creating an unpleasant bath additive smell.

With the heart note, a jasmine note joins this mishmash, which seems to have messed itself. I irritably wonder: Can flowers be overwhelming?

By the time the base note arrives, someone has finally dried out the iris and it has shyly disappeared into the dust. Unfortunately, all that remains is cold mopping water with a slightly bitter undertone.

I wash PL off after about three hours, as I simply can't stand it anymore.

Sorry dear Lumi, but this one just does not work on me!

Freshly Washed Village

In Italy, near the beautiful capital of Tuscany, Florence:
A small village still completely built of stone.
It is still very early. The fog creeps through the window seams, gliding molasses-like over the ledge of the sills. It wafts like cotton candy through the very narrow alleys.
One can hardly see 1 m ahead.
BUT.....
You can smell the village.
It is laundry day in the village. The women have been up since dawn, scrubbing the floors, polishing the floorboards, scrubbing the stone tiles until they can be seen in them.
With soap, they wash the white laundry, boil it, and hang it up, high between the houses on long lines.
The whole village smells of various soaps.

The scent:
Starts quite clean...with a hint of floor wax
Progresses quite clean...with a hint of soap
Ends quite clean...with a frog-based floor cleaner

Sometimes a stuffy flower flashes through the soapy scent.
But it certainly does not smell like urine now.
It lasts surprisingly well. It was detectable for 7 hours. The sillage is also quite nice. It can be sniffed out.
Theoretically, it could be worn in any season. Both men and women, as well as everyone else, could (if they wanted to) spray this scent on themselves.

Conclusion:
It is clean and neat, wears silver glasses and has a gray bun.
A laundry day in completely foggy Italy.
A scent that definitely attracts attention (no matter in which direction)
For the very brave, who do not care about people's comments.
For the lazy :D who have been on the go for 4 days and haven't had time to shower.
And for people who want to use it as a statement against the world.

Clean Limestone Sauna

Once again, an unknown brand to me,
the question: weak or strong?

With Puro Lino, it won’t work for me,
I’ll quickly pack this sample away.

It’s definitely a clean scent, that’s clear,
but not an ordinary one, that’s true.

It smells like limestone in the sauna,
thankfully in the morning, without human fauna.

The powdery stones have been scrubbed well,
fresh laundry, without dirt and germs to tell.

But still cool, unsympathetic, and not nice,
it makes the hair stand on end, even without a device.

I wouldn’t want to smell or waft like this,
that would be entirely against my bliss.

Fortunately, it’s tame and lasts only a short while,
hopefully, no one lets a fart in this style.

Speaking of farts, the scent is bone dry,
with it, one could probably rouse a few skeletons from their lie.

The rest of the company sounds more promising,
but Puro Lino is strangely horrendous.

Rarely has clean and pure been so unwelcome,
even if no one will lynch the wearer, it’s true.

Set Sail - when it should be not just clean but pure

At the GAoP in Düsseldorf, I noticed, among other things, the small, friendly stand of Officina delle Essence. There, I could sample the five puristic bottles of the Puro Series, featuring few but much more substantial ingredients - truly pure.

Puro Lino is said to be inspired by ancient linen factories, the style and elegance of the Italian lifestyle, as well as the memory of linen cloths hanging to dry in the fresh wind along the green fields.

So much for the poetry - but the reality tells me a slightly different story. Puro Lino rather shines with an interesting combination of the citrusy-sharp verbena and neroli, along with rustic soap. Green notes join in, which at the beginning come across as a bit clumsy and almost immature. The jasmine seems to be somewhat overshadowed for me; at least I hardly notice it. Later, the green notes become more subtle, and a clear dialogue emerges between the neroli and the soapy scent.

At this point, Puro Lino embodies a super clean and deeply pure aura, like the laundry room in a Benedictine monastery. Yes, that sounds rather old-fashioned now, and I can imagine that many might turn away because they reach their olfactory tolerance limit, but somehow I find it all very appealing. Of course, one could achieve a similar effect with 4711 and regular soap, but this here has a bit more style.
All in all, Puro Lino is a clean, pure fragrance that I could easily imagine on Ned Flanders from The Simpsons.
