Powdered Vanilla Flower Bouquet
Oh how beautiful is this?! Please don't be misled by the name Ishraq Orientica. I was expecting something oriental and am surprised by how soft and lovely this scent is. It starts off with a vanilla powdery note, and you can actually smell a bit of kumquat! Beautiful lily of the valley, jasmine, and iris notes. Vanilla and sandalwood envelop your skin like a luxurious body lotion. I don't know the price of this perfume, and I wouldn't say it has niche quality, but it is a successful flower bouquet dusted with vanilla powder and sandalwood. I would definitely buy it!

A Beautiful Everyday Fragrance
Yesterday, I received a -for me gigantic- inspiring fragrance package with four new perfumes. My first Souk swap! Of course, I had to try them out immediately and kept smelling myself, involving my husband… gathering and comparing first impressions.

This morning, I chose Ishraq. The perfume in the pearlescent, handy bottle with a red-gold tree and embellishments attracted me from the very beginning. I had never seen it before, nor had I ever heard of Orientica.

It starts wonderfully fresh with lime, which is fruity due to the kumquat. After a few minutes, the lily of the valley briefly emerges fresh and green, and then the scent becomes sweeter. I sense jasmine and iris, which then resonate in a beautiful, sweet (but not jasmine-cloying), somehow delicate triad with the lily of the valley.

Violets are always hard for me to pick out from a "blend" (unless they dominate a scent) - I have no idea if they are resonating with me? In any case, I believe I can smell the kumquat every now and then in the first 15 minutes.

After about 15 minutes, vanilla appears in the background. Here, the scent becomes creamier on me. Still delicately sweet, but not cloyingly sweet, rather pleasant for me. Over time, a certain spiciness also emerges, and the flowers together with the vanilla and sandalwood evoke a sense of well-being in me. After about an hour, Ishraq becomes woodier, deeper, but still warm.

Ishraq is never loud as it develops, but surrounds me. It becomes relatively close to the skin, and after 10 hours, I could still smell spicy vanilla on me. For me, it is a very beautiful everyday fragrance that resembles nothing in my collection.

I would have never believed that I would like lily of the valley in a perfume. Usually, they are too intense, too sweet, too synthetic for me, and there’s a strange note that I don’t recognize from the many lilies of the valley in my garden. Here, I really like them!

Ishraq suited me well today with the biting cold weather here in Munich. By the way, a few green shoots have actually dared to peek out of the ground, and I can sense the coming spring. I believe Ishraq will be a winter/spring fragrance for me… but I can also imagine that it can be worn all year round.

Deliciously Feminine
A beautiful fragrance.
Does it resemble Dama Bianca? - Yes, definitely! For the price (18€), it is really worth buying. Give it a try if you enjoy fine, feminine, delicious but not cloyingly sweet or syrupy gourmands. It lasts really well.
What will surely disappoint you is the bottle. I find it terrible and, quite literally, it falls apart rather quickly :-/ I ordered a nice travel spray and I enjoy decanting it into that.

Rice Pudding
Rice pudding with lemon! Sweet, powdery, delicious... yet with a slight freshness. It fits very well for summer and spring, but be careful because the scent is quite oily. Longevity is also good. Some find a similarity to Kenzo Flower, I do not - those who love Kenzo Flower will surely also love Orientica Ishraq.

Dama Bianca? Maybe. Rice pudding? NOT!! Fruity~creamy~sweet. It settles on a lovely vanilla base that lasts long. A pleasure to wear (-:

Delicate-citrus magic cloud. Like a light lemon mousse. Not overwhelmingly extraordinary, but convincingly wearable. Beautiful!

Fluffy light vanilla mousse with a hint of lemon and lily of the valley. On top, lots of candied violets. A pleasant gourmand.

Creamy, rich, and full-bodied.
Sweet-floral with a slightly woody note. Extremely pleasant.

Lemon cream roll, vanilla powder, mild honey note, violet: despite everything, it’s more of a delicate floral care scent than a gourmand.
