4711 Genuine Cologne Water / Porto Neroli Alternative with top performance
I had been looking for an alternative to Echt Kölnisch Wasser Eau de Cologne for ages 4711 is one of my favorite neroli fragrances, only the performance is underground.
With the "Le Motif Collection - Wild Neroli | Orientica" I have finally found a perfume that is close enough to 4711 and also performs great.
In the opening you get the full load of petitgrain, which smells fresh/tart In addition, bergamot or lemon which tends to act in the background.
But it's not a juicy lemon, it smells more like lemon peel.
But petitgrain is clearly the star of the show, and that doesn't change in the DD.
There is an additional neroli note, which together with the petitgrain gives you that 4711 vibe.
The similarity is 80%, I would say, because the longer you wear the fragrance, the creamier and, above all, woodier it becomes.
I don't know that from 4711 and that's the biggest difference I would say.
And it stays that way until the end, woody, slightly citrusy and floral.
Petitgrain, neroli, cedarwood and very light bergamot are the most prominent notes for my nose.
At most, I can sense musk and orange blossom, but I can't really smell either of them.
It's a masculine fragrance that probably smells too old-fashioned for many people.
You have to like fragrances like Echt Kölnisch Wasser Eau de Cologne or Neroli Portofino Eau de Parfum.
As mentioned at the beginning, the performance is top.
On the clothes it lasts for days and in terms of radiance it easily puts a Neroli Portofino Eau de Parfum in its pocket.
If you were to wear this and the Tom Ford, you would really only notice the "Le Motif Collection - Wild Neroli | Orientica".
