Winning Scent
Yes, it is my giveaway scent and it has won as well.
I had to wait a few days and, a bit hesitantly, I sprayed the glamorous magnolia. I don't usually like it too floral, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
The green notes leave a smile on my face.
FGM starts very dry, slightly bitter, with a paired sweetness of the freesia, which is subtle enough for me.
I confess that I don't really know the scent of magnolia. I do have one in my front yard, but since it is very young, it doesn't emit such a powerful magnolia scent in spring yet. According to some minor research, the scent of magnolia is simulated through artificial means. Essences of rose, jasmine, neroli, ylang-ylang, and synthetic aroma substances are used for imitation.
I find the further scent development fruity, and green still plays a good supporting role. I experience a tingling in my nose; something is happening here. Spring fizz?
FGM is marketed as a spring fragrance, which is understandable, as the magnolia takes the lead here. However, this is not so relevant for me.
Today would be a day, for example, when I could very well imagine the scent on my skin. Although it is winter, the thermometer showed about 10 degrees today.
The base note develops woody, still bitter green. The sweetness has become even more subtle.
I can sense a hint of chocolate, but probably only because it appears in the pyramid. So, gourmand lovers, you will be disappointed here.
I like the scent and am still happy that I was able to win it thanks to parfumo.
Addendum from the internet: “Magnolia scent inspires the imagination and stimulates creative creation.”
Well then, I’ll spray some........
Speaking of spraying; the longevity is average to good. I only sprayed subtly. That was a good three hours ago, and I can still perceive the scent well. The sillage is rather subtle.
