The night of dark roses
Floating shadows in dark violet night. The light from afar bathes the forest in this colour.
The trunks of the trees are ancient, the treetops tower tens of meters towards the sky.
But this night is not to be feared.
It's surrounded by scents coming out of a hut.
Here, in the seclusion, a brew is mixed that truly captures the senses.
Tree bark soaked in resin can be found everywhere. It is the basis of the strong fragrance.
Rose petals, cinnamon and cloves will serve as "seasoning".
An old oven supplies the heat to cook the brew. And for distilling spices and flowers. The boiled bark resin is already viscous and smells intense, is the "soul of the forest". With the addition of the other ingredients, the fragrance becomes even more enticing and familiar.
The rose distillate then smells like the resins. Dark, almost heavy and slightly melancholic-mystical. The spices provide warmth and security.
