Headless
When I really started my perfume hobby two and a half years ago, I intended to acquire at least one example from each fragrance direction.
You never know in advance what you will truly like, and often experience, as you all know, one or another massive surprise.
So I needed a skin scent with a bit of leather, and I found it exciting that apparently no one knew this fragrance here.
What was also nice: I could buy a small 30 ml bottle and not a huge bottle that might just sit around unloved for years.
The bottle looks like "Angelique Santal".
The scent is powdery, a little bit leathery, elegant, a skin scent (it is also translated as skin veil);
In my perception, it consists only of base notes, which are really beautiful with mediocre sillage --- but I just find it too boring!
Especially the lemon, which is listed at the top, hides from my nose 100%.
The result was, of course, that the perfume stood unused in the cupboard --- I certainly had enough better alternatives.
Until this summer (which, by the way, was actually nonexistent here in Munich this year - just as a side note):
I bought "Trussardi Donna", was thrilled by the sweet long-lasting lemon scent, but was disappointed that it had nothing more to offer after the lemon.
Then suddenly, a flash of inspiration hit me!
I sprayed "Voilé de Peau" on my belly and "Donna" higher up.
I normally never wear two perfumes at the same time --- there was never a reason for such a strange experiment;
But in this case, it’s just super good!
The headless, somewhat overly reserved perfume becomes something really good, addictive, and soothing!
I also love "Honour" by Amouage, just to give an idea of the effect.
In "Honour", something similar happens in a perfume --- beautiful top note, and then the base comes in.
In this combination, I would easily give 100%.
Alone, it only reaches 70%.
