What's Nu?

At the moment, I don't think there is a fragrance that is as popular as "Blue Silk".
Finally I was able to test it - and I'm a bit surprised.

The scent reminds me very much of "Nu" by Saint Laurent. Unfortunately, I only have the sample of "Nu (2011)" in the house and could only compare it with this; the top note is somewhat lighter and more floral than "Blue Silk". The old version of "Nu" would be even more similar, if I remember correctly.

"Blue Silk" is a very cheap fragrance, it's also new and being actively tested, that's the only thing I can use to explain its success. And yes, it is a beautiful fragrance, I like it much better than the "Secrets d'Essences - Accord Chic", which is indicated as a twin fragrance. Also his restraint I like.

But I like "Nu (2001)" even better, it is brighter, more complex, spicier, has a much better sillage and durability. In addition, it lacks this dull, rubbery note, which I perceive in "Blue Silk" all the way to the base. This may be due to the juniper, I often have difficulties with that.

So what does "Blue Silk" have that "Nu (2001)" doesn't?

Two dreams

Courageous, daredevil, little punk and street pirate. Anyone who faces me here knows what he wants and how to get it. A short grip on the belt with a gloating grin, where knives of all sizes and shapes are already cavorting, no gaze necessary, the hand grasps the bluish something with determination and a certain grip. Everything goes so fast that I don't realize at first what the robber is doing. But then I find out by force. A loud shoshscht echoes around my head, immediately followed by a fog, so dense and so oppressive that I struggle for air. Seconds later, I kneel in the dust. Cough. Burning eyes. Conquered. Beaten. Killed. Then a deafening noise and everything turns black...then suddenly a piercing bright tone.
A little disbelieving, I look at the alarm clock. His shrill reputation gets on my nerves more than usual today. What kind of a weird dream was that? Confused and yet I would like to know what else would have happened. What was that bluish thing that brought me to my knees? After the shower and a wonderfully fragrant coffee, I get dressed and put on my makeup. The hairstyle's fine. Now the coronation at the end. Who's it gonna be today? Which fragrance should accompany me through today? There is still some excitement in my bones from my dream, so it has to be something that catches me and carries me. My eyes wander. Moooment...two, three bottles back...yes, that's who it should be today.
But wait! Isn't that the same thing the pirate held in front of my face in a dream? Certainly just by chance, I think, as I look at the petroleum-coloured, egg-shaped bottle in my hand. But one sprayer and I know instantly that's who it was!
Brizzelnd-prickling, nädelnd and at the nose hairs zippelnd, cheeky, cheeky, yes quite big mouth. Not only pepper in the butt, but also in the front. That's the fog I got in my dream.
Pepper and juniper I take was very strong. Both power up through their noses into the control center. Phew, violent and yet tempting. If it's going to be that way, what's next? In the heart of the fragrance, rose and jasmine set the pace for me. I don't want to deny a slight tangy orange origin, but fortunately for me, it is not very strong in comparison. Cinnamon may be the warm, wafting something that rolls in the haze, but also the rather restrained one. No shortcoming for me either. The skull already hums a bit if you don't pay attention to the dosage. Here the top note literally goes with the head through the (nose) wall and you spoil the following notes. So be careful if you want to turn the standard spray into an event. Herber impact can be recognised when the first fog subsides a little and at the same time the aromas meander through the senses with a spicy softness. My own, especially when musk and vetiver are the most common in the base, even before Tonka. Then the scent really becomes very special. Nothing everyday, it is a fragrance that seems bold, as well as the gentle seducer. One that reconciles very feminine components with more masculine ones. One that radiates a warmth that vibrates over the skin as if the blood were simmering underneath. Wow through words heard, wow through touch, heat up from memories. This AP is going through an amazing metamorphosis. He starts off so energy-overcharged and overstretches the madness, only to pass moments later almost into the opposite. To be allowed to experience only this development is worth a test. On fabric it remains more masculine, on my skin and the radiating warmth I would not even associate it with the one on the fabric, it is so wonderfully feminine, sensual and soft. Two creatures, almost completely different. Two hearts in one chest. Two fragrances in a petroleum bottle.
And two dreams, one in sleep and one in the here and now...!

A cuddler with an edge

I think Agent Provocateur's scents are all worth testing. I have always been able to smell a certain AP DNA from those I have been able to get to know. And I like that the brand has its own signature. Thus the smells, which are favorable, but by no means cheaply smell, stand out very pleasantly from the other Mainstream.

What makes the fragrances of this brand so special: Almost everyone awakens the slut in you! Because even if you think, oh, pretty, rose, powder, wood or what I know - just wait and see, because these fragrances are simply sweet and polite and seldom. If not already immediately, a certain dirty note creeps in later and makes the whole fragrance a bit dirty. I love that!

Once again, the usual suspects have fished at you - thank you very much and greet you! - I had to order Blue Silk blind right away. And it was an extremely successful blind purchase, because not too much was promised and I have worn the scent meanwhile often and gladly.

Blue Silk also has the AP DNA. This fragrance starts fresh, spicy and bitter, but then quickly becomes warmer, even if the spicy notes clearly run through the entire heart note. I can't make out individual flowers, I can't smell cinnamon either, which is no harm to me.

But then the basis becomes really great, because probably the Tonka bean now gives a great twist: Now the scent becomes sweet, but only very light, still remains a little spicy and warm, musky and skiny-glorious, and the best: This phase lasts forever! A cuddly scent with an edge that lies silky on the skin, but is still easily perceptible.

The above AP-typical dirty note is present, but not quite as pronounced as I think. Nevertheless, Blue Silk has a certain sexyness and can also be worn outside the boudoir ;) I find it especially beautiful on cooler days like now just.

Conclusion: Blue Silk is definitely a fragrance you can't smell at every corner. It has a noticeable fragrance, the big bottles do not cost the world and it also lasts very long. So what more does a woman want?

Black butterflies on dark petrol - simply enchanting

Tonight I slept with Blue Silk. And that includes "Nights in White Satin" by the Moody Blues...:o) No - not true. That song just occurred to me as I was writing it. Silk & Satin halt... :)

Applying new fragrances to sleep is my acid test. If not the tiniest nuance disturbs me in my dreams, but I only have pleasant feelings with the scent, it has passed the test excellently and I like it without any ifs or buts. I've been testing fragrances for quite some time now, but only those that I like the first time I spray anyway.

Again and again tonight I noticed the wonderful scent of "Blue Silk". The fine, seductive little clouds that rose into my nose while I was sleeping made me happy, although the scent impression was completely new to me. I know so many fragrances because I've been holding my nose eagerly to every bottle for forty years, but this enchanting fragrance has surprised me today. That means something, because my nose is no longer so easily carried away by new fragrances. But the Blue Silk composition is simply dreamily beautiful. A balanced, harmonious fragrance and pure seduction.

The wonderful, tempting ingredients from the pyramid can be sensed in the sensual composition, but they are so harmoniously interwoven that they form a great whole. That's what I really like about fragrance creations, when they delight my nose in a round and flattering way and don't compete loudly and garishly with each other. It is really pleasurable to indulge in a seductive composition during the night.

Blue Silk smells like a dream. It is a sweet, soft-cinnamon, woody-powdery fragrance with an erotic musk base with hours of adherence. I'm blown away. Although he has blue, cool silk in his name, I do not find him cool at all, but gentle and slightly warm. As warm as a soft summer wind, not like a blanket. He has something floating, subtle that makes him very special. Anyway, it's recognizable, which I think is great. It stands out pleasantly from the fragrances I know and I would not have thought that a new fragrance in the composition of its ingredients could take me so for itself and surprise.
I also really like the shiny, smooth bottle. It is far more beautiful and more valuable than it appears to me on photos. The blue is a petrol, but colour and packaging harmonise so beautifully with each other that it is a splendour. Also the chosen motive of the black butterflies is beautiful and a bit dreamy, romantic and playful. This is exactly how I feel the fine scent of Blue Silk.

I thank my dear Pluto that she has fused us all with this wonderful scent, because without her I would never have met this provocateur.
