Blacklight Pekji 2021

I was so excited to test this fragrance out upon looking at the notes because I love licorice, Iris and aldehydes. So what could go wrong? Everything. Everything could go wrong. This is a screechy mess of a perfume that lingers like a bad decision. It goes through ZERO scent evolution or development and instead throws off this high-pitched whiny accord that lasts forever and smells absolutely repulsive. Sharp, screechy, green, bitter, aldehydic (but like in the worst possible way). The aldehydes in here smell like paint thinner or a beach ball that’s been sitting out in the sun until it starts releasing plastic fumes. Literally smells dangerous like my body recoils from smelling this. Smelling this was just as offensive if not more offensive than vi et armis by Beaufort London. They both share that foreboding high-pitched screechiness that calls to mind antiseptics, smoking plastic, burnt everything and chemical fumes.
