Green Girl Poesie Perfume 2022

It’s the first warm day in spring. A stream of light warms your corner table in a quaint, cottage-theme cafe. Across the table, your cooling mug of your extra-milky matcha latte pushes wafts of steam through the bouquet of yellow flowers in the middle of the table.

This is a predominantly milky scent with very slight nuances of what I perceive as yellow floral and a vague green tea (does not read a matcha though). Instead of a real matcha scent, I believe its more similar to a low-quality matcha latte mix you'd get at a Marshalls or Starbucks. It's not very earthy or green, and also lacks the citrusy and or bitter nuances of a high-grade matcha powder. The heliotrope note is similarly non-distinct, and contributes like blanket of a general floral-ness to the fragrance. Thus, I would say its more of a sweet, milky, floral skin musk with very small sillage and projection. Given it's lightness and non-distinct notes, this fragrance could be worn year-round as great bedtime or indoors scent.

I adore matcha. I accidentally booked two tea ceremonies in Kyoto back to back and because I wasn't the typical bored tourist, they gave me the practice bowls which meant in a 4 hour period I had 6 bowls of matcha. Not cups. Bowls.
So I was THRILLED at the idea of getting a matcha latte scent.
Matcha to me is very green because it's literally leaf powder. I did not expect to get baby powder. That's what this smells like to me. It is so incredibly powdery. That the first note I smell, it's the dominant note in the dry down. It makes me wonder if it's the heliotrope as well as it's a super sweet floral powdery scent to me with basically no matcha.
Is it a bad scent? No.
Is it what I expected? Also no.
