BY the hand of Daniel Josier and inspired by an oil painting by Renier with the same name, we find this unisex fragrance halfway between Oriental and gourmand, a very sensual, warm, seductive fragrance.

The sweet notes of cinnamon and vanilla are perfectly accompanied by heliotrope and Tolu balsam, so they stand out without being cloying. The almond and coffee also provide a gourmand point a bit more bitter than together with a touch of oud, which feels a bit smoky and the atlas cedar, create a very interesting contrast.

Kisses Rain is like a kiss. So thrilling and exciting, before the lips touch for the first time. Cautious and charged like hair when you walk with slurping steps over the carpet. Bergamot is zesty and sour, rose so loving and delicate, in love with vanilla and coffee. A feeling of being desired, as oud wraps around the hips with almond and sweet heliotrope, exotic like a grass skirt. Tolubalsam, like a stole, that warms and lures with love. Finely balsamic and dry.
Patchouli embraces you gently like an earthy, fresh-green body lotion. It penetrates deep into the skin and cares for it lovingly. Kisses Rain first gives you the impression of wildness, zest, and then becomes wonderfully cuddly yet demanding! A dance, closely entwined with yourself, kissing and exciting. A dance that lasts all day and won’t let you go. Only in the evening, when your feet ache and you crave rest, do you treat yourself to a fragrant, fresh coffee and drape a blanket of musk and amber over your shoulders, only then does it become quieter.

I didn’t know what to expect from this test: certainly not such an exciting fragrance combination that is gourmand-sweet, extraordinarily sensual-aromatic, and enticing.

Those who know me are aware that I easily (or even strongly) enjoy dirty oud in combination with roses: to my own surprise!
But this fragrance composition from “Kisses Rain” is extremely sensual, floral in character, and full of very surprising scent facets: like secret kisses in the rain - charming and emotional.
Oud and ripe, fully bloomed roses give this scent an extraordinary oeuvre; cardamom and zesty fresh bergamot aromas accompany subtly, spicy, fresh, and alluring.
Very strong coffee notes create an unusual, here extremely luxurious scent-intensive embrace and harmoniously adapt to the two scent-opening rich fragrance notes.

The cuddly tenderness of almonds and rich, lush heliotrope caresses the often tormented senses.

You are truly special and unique. The fragrance pyramid lists numerous scent notes that appeal to me, and it is really more than difficult for me to describe this scent. It is very dense, sweet, initially fresh, spicy, warm, and gourmand. And then it has this tolu balsam, which makes it really special. I find it very seductive. I believe this scent could appeal to a man on a date; nonetheless, I find it unisex. As you can see, I am just stumbling over my words here and experiencing word-finding difficulties, but I can neither describe the scent accurately nor the person who wears it. It is definitely worth testing.

Is this still an oud fragrance? It is quite interesting that oud is assigned to the top and heart notes in the fragrance pyramid, but not to the base, as is the case with the majority of oud fragrances; it is also interesting how the well-known oud-rose accord appears here quite differently than one might expect. The oud does not dominate here, but is integrated into at least a three-part ensemble, which also includes a balsamic-woody-earthy tone that encompasses amber and patchouli, along with a gourmand note of coffee, almond, and vanilla. All of this is arranged more vertically along the horizontal timeline, so that the fragrance presents a complex interplay of elements until the drydown.
Projection and longevity are unfortunately, unfortunately only average, which prevents me from truly embracing the fragrance. Whether I will purchase a full bottle is still undecided.
