Do you remember.......I love.....
A few days ago, I met my best friend from childhood and youth. It was our second meeting after many years. The two meetings were always far too short, there was so much to talk about, it felt so familiar and so beautiful, just like back then. At our last meeting, I was wearing a necklace with a pendant around my neck. Somehow, the necklace seemed familiar to her, and so did the scent that, upon greeting, sent the message from my neck: Do you remember.....?
We were inseparable, but eventually, school days come to an end, and everyone goes their own way in life. Professionally and personally. You move away and lose sight of each other. That’s how it was for me with my beloved Charlie Apple. No outing without him. He was my fragrant piece of jewelry. And it smelled sooo fine. At any time, in any place, just take off the cap and lightly apply it to the skin with your finger.
Anyone who has ever had the old Charlie under their nose knows that he wants to stand out, he is always present. Floral, spicy, slightly sweet, and also green, aldehydic, with a little kitten in it. Yes, that’s how my wonderful Charlie Apple was too, but the solid perfume was creamy and lighter, as if the scent was enveloped in a fluffy and light green coat. Close to the body yet subtly perceptible. More for young girls who don’t necessarily want to stand out immediately or are so discreet that it is wearable for everyone.
My first real fragrance and just as unforgettable as the first great love.
I searched for him here in the forum and everywhere else ten years ago. So, the Charlie Apple, not the first great love;)) Unfortunately, always without success.

At some point, I almost gave up the search altogether. Until a lovely user reminded me that even after a long time, you might be lucky enough to find a wonderful memory again. She was right, I thought, and tried my luck again. And lo and behold, bullseye. Thanks to the lovely user:). Even two Charly Apples, gold and silver colored. Neither of them had ever been used, and oh wonder, the solid perfume is preserved just like back then. I admit, tears were shed.
Since Charles Revson (known as the Revlon brand) had his business and great success in New York, the apple was probably a tribute to the Big Apple.
Time passes very quickly, and the older you get, it seems to go even faster. What remains: Do you remember.......the beautiful and dear memories.
You can’t turn back time, but you can bring some lovely memories into the present.
I found mine again after a very long time. The best and dearest friend and my dearly beloved Charlie Apple in double form.
I love Big Apple Charlie. It just occurred to me that my beloved cat is also named Charly, coincidence or perhaps subconscious? Who knows.....:).
