Bitter orange peel with a bland dry-down
This is a solid, young-but-not-sweet sort of scent. The citrus here is quite bitter--more like an orange peel than orange juice, and doesn't have a bright or zesty side (similar to the muddled citrus I found in Skylar's staple Capri Summer). The almond-pistachio situation is what really attracted me when buying this, and I wish it was just a little more noticeable between the sharp citrus and the musk. On dry-down, I'm left mostly with a bland almond milk-musk combination.
I didn't love wearing this alone, but enjoyed layering with Kayali's Yum Pistachio. YP brings out the nuttiness of Citrus Grove, and Citrus Grove balances out the overbearing sweetness of YP.
